I don't think there was ever an Eddie out cry though.

Could be a ploy by Gartside himself to make fans believe they are better off with the current situation.

If so then GARTSIDE out!

So many conspiracies.

Clearly a double, double bluff. I think it's dead real. He'll sell us for £10m and leave. We get a new asset stripping Chairman. Gartside (who's a secret DMB) laughs a lot in our general direction.

That will help us benefit in many ways, especially when it comes to Thai players playing in England.

Agreed.

That quote quite possibly tells us a lot.

I don't want this rumoured takeover to happen.

One of my mates who has never played pro in the UK (Rochdale academy as a kid, then a bit of Semi-Pro, now amateur because of work commitments) went over there 2 years ago for a trial. Got offered a 2yr deal at a top flight club, so that probably shows the standard of Thai players.

If they want to use our club as a platform to develop players who aren't good enough to play at this level, they can fvckin fvck the fvck off

I never really batted an eyelid at the 'of a certain age' stuff, but I'm now starting to be concerned about your tastes.

I got mugged by a Thai Ladyboy in Bairro Alto back in 2008. So we stayed up all night drinking. And then missed our flight. And somehow my mate managed to blag us onto the next one for no extra cost.

Ahh, brings back memories. Wonder if Brentford away will be the same?

I had a Thai girlfriend.

Until one day when we were in bed and I was sucking her cock. I thought there was something not quite right.

aye - just heard this on R5 whilst driving home from the beach...

blimey!

I know this has been asked before - but with FFP - would this actually help us at all? What might be the benefits?

It has to be better that we aren't in massive debt ... but, as ever, that debt in in the hands of the owner. So it's not critical, but does leave us somewhat exposed to his whim ... and health.

Any new buyer is a concern, what are their motivations ? Just look at what happened to Birmingham. But a media corporation with big assets buying him out has to be looked at ... I guess.

However, your point remains, we are under the FFP constraints ... we have to balance our footballing income & outgoings. I'm sure a generally healthier condition can't harm that but I fail to see how it overrides it.

I guess it WOULD sound nice to be able to say we are no longer in debt... beyond that, though, unless I have misunderstood FFP - which is quite likely!! - then the transfer situation changes not a jot for us...

If the Thais come in and offer a Huuuge shirt sponsorship deal or buy the hotel, doesn't this count as income under FFP? Sure Citeh did something similar.

There is all sorts they can do i guess. Like shirt sponsership, pay for catering costs, sub the hotel. Forest seem to have got round ffp.

Be interested to see how much of this relates to keeping hold of assetts like land, hotel, training ground etc.

Wonder where phil stands as well? Replaced?
