------------------------ Amos -----------------------
---Pisano - Wheater - Prince - Casado--
-----------------------Spearing ---------------------
------------ M. Davies --- Pratley -------------
Feeney ---------------------------------- Clayton
----------------------- Ameobi -----------------------
If I was gaffer that is the team I would be starting tomorrow.
Players playing in their natural position and everything.
That team isn't worthy of 24th place in the table. Lennon. Must get 6 points from the next two

^ Agree with that team.
Things are really, really scary right now and to me it feels like these next two home games might well be the last chance saloon. Which sounds ridiculous this side of January but if we can't get some points from these it is tough to see how we'll claw back any deficit.
Heart (and gut feeling) says we will win tonight. Head says a draw. Hopefully gut feeling wins out.

Brentford are a decent footballing side, there are no easy games in this division... we had plenty of chances but the ball just didn't fall for us, we left everything on the pitch... the referee, well, obviously we won't use that as an excuse, but he should be looking in the mirror tonight and ansking himself a few hard questions - it's a shame the lads didn't get the proper reward for their hard work... we've went close a few times - and the hardest thing in football is making the chances - while we're still doing that then it doesn't take much to turn it around.. we've a few games over christmas and now's the time to convert these good performances into points... the off-field takeover talk - do you want to ask me about that? no? oh - well - if you had asked me, I'd say that it's not a distraction or an excuse - these are professional players doing a job - but it is very unsettling for them and nobody plays at their best in a situation of uncertainty, do they - not that we weren't playing at our best or anything, errr... just saying, like... errrr...... we're heading back into a week of training to put this defeat behind us ansd are fully focussed on the next game...

Anybody considered the state of the pitch? After all even for a wet November it's surpassed itself, the Isle Of Man Ferry's just sailed past our drive....and isn't a poor pitch supposed to assist lower league sides against higher teams?
Anyone know if the pitch is fully covered though - so underneath it might be relatively dry? I'd still insert if I won the toss though.
If the pitch is a factor and the ball skidding all over the place, could be 4 - 4.

Our pitch is like a bowling green and not much undersoil, so always hard.. Will be skiddy, but not boggy. Would aide them, as they're a better sideAanvalluh wrote:Anybody considered the state of the pitch? I really, really, really hope we win tonight. We're at the stage where we need to put a run together just to not get cut adrift never mind get out of it. Balls!

Without wishing to influence the outcome, I've just offered the following three scenarios to WtW.
1/ Go to the match in this fecking hurricane.
2/ Go to the pub in this fecking hurricane and watch it there.
3/ Watch it in the comfort of my living room, in front of the fire, with a glass of something red and fruity, served with an assortment of cheeses and biscuits.

I'm not sure that's close to being a tricky choice, when you phrase it like that! Although WtW would need to get to and from yours, in this fecking hurricane.Bruce Rioja wrote:Without wishing to influence the outcome, I've just offered the following three scenarios to WtW.

He's been on - we're going to the match in this fecking hurricane. Well, actually, according to Auntie, no rain between the hours of 4pm and 2am.Worthy4England wrote:I'm not sure that's close to being a tricky choice, when you phrase it like that! Since it's goals we're shy on, why not play Pratley and Spearing together to cover midfield and let Mark Davis sit forward and central behind Ameaobi.enrdentw wrote:------------------------ Amos -----------------------

Do for me. They can't do any worse.Riviman wrote:If the senior players refuse to play as they haven't been paid perhaps we could see a team of youngsters!!
By the way, isn't it Brentford who have a player whose name is something perilously close to 'Bellend'?

Brentford have just announced the appointment of their new manager - that Smith fella from Walsall, so they'll all be out to impress him then, whilst our lot will be skulking about their missing emolument, the c*nts! ![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)

Chance for them to show they deserve those wages and do genuinely give a shit.
I'm annoyed, I was going to go to this when it was on Saturday, the decision to put it on a Monday night is a shocker, particularly for their fans.
