He's having a kid very soon so if he plays anywhere it will be the MLS.

Good luck to the lad.

The only thing that I can add is that Johnny Evans is an absolute fecking c*nt and I hope that his career is brought to a horrible, premature end. Preferably this weekend. The c*nt!

His first child was born this week. An ideal counterpoint to this news. Good luck to him. A terrible shame but he's healthy, reasonably wealthy, fit and a great life ahead of him & his Mrs.

Yeah, the loss of Holden exposed Coyle for the one-trick-pony he was. But what a trick. To have that kind of influence on a team is seldom seen. If only. <sigh>

He couldn't have done it without Muamba next to him. Those two in centre mid - tenacious.

You know, when you really think about it, both the club and the players haven't half had some shxt luck with injuries. Fortune, Fadiga, Muamba, the right back whose name I can't just bring to mind, Holden, Clayton, Wheater etc.etc.

Tierney? See also, Sean Davis. There were bad injuries before but it seemed to really take off around the Coyle kinda time. Also, some of the injuries have been very strange like Cahill's blood vessel and of course Muamba's heart problem.
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

^^ Aye, and before that, Robbie Elliot also suffered a double fracture in his first game for us that kept him out for a full season.

The relegation season saw us lose Chungy, Muamba & Holden, plus Sean Davis continued to be out. That was a decent top-half+ midfield all in one go. Coyle didn't help matters with chaotic decisions but sheesh.

Not sure that you can put those two down to our bad luck, Tango. Fortune already had an injury list longer than his list of games played and we already knew about Fadiga's heart condition when we signed him, but overall yeah, absolutely. When you think about it 'that right back' could refer to any of Dean Holden, Robbie Elliot or Marc Tierney (probably more) and that's since we've been at The Bok.

Dean Holden looked like a really good prospect til that injury.

Robbie Elliott and Marc Tierney were left-backs; although Elliott could play in a few other positions, he was definitely a southpaw.

Tierney was the one I couldn't bring to mind, but I always thought his position was right back, or at least that was his intended slot with us ?

Joined on a Bosman the same day as Alex Baptiste, who was (insisted Dougie) a right-back. (Hayden White, who had been converted by Wednesday from right-winger to right-back, also officially joined that day.)

Bloody hell, forgotten all about him. Always seemed strange that one. Wasn't that the Baptiste who himself said he was better at centre half?
