Why? What's he done to you? :D

I haven't had a season ticket since the Megson/Coyle changeover season and I can't see that changing any time soon due to personal circumstance!

I'm worried I'll miss it, if I don't go, so I'll renew and that's the same reason I did so last season

I dont fancy going to any games and paying to see wasters like mark davies pick up £18k for no effort. I dont give a fck if we are winning if the lads put the effort in. But this crop..no way.
Slight increase apparently

It'll only be Marginal, probably a quid a game, so £23 increase or so x 8000 = £184,000.00 extra in coffers

Which will go nowhere near offsetting what we'll be losing in income, but getting rid of shite will help

As has been said before, 184,000 is a considerable chunk of a league one budget.

If the club thinks they can raise the tickets a pound a game and make that extra cash then we're not in a position to just chuck money away anymore.

Yes. That is the equation. What is the price/sales ratio that maximises revenue.

I'll probably sod the ST off and go to away games instead. It's a 90 mile round journey for home games anyway.

Look on the bright side.

For those buying season tickets especially living outside the area, there's less chance of Sky beggaring about with the fixtures and moving the Bolton/Plymouth game to 8.05pm on a Thursday.

They've announced the season ticket prices today. A 10% reduction on all general tickets and all tiers will remain open.

Thoughts?

I think that a 10% reduction is as much as anyone could reasonably expect - well done DH & KA

Dean Holdsworth's statement is also excellent IMO....

I've had one for years on and off. Didn't need one in the 60s nor for the 70's until the Greaves era. I stopped buying one before last season as it was making me one grumpy and angry bastard to the point of frustration. It did make me think "do I really need this"? I went to many games this season but didn't enjoy any I went to.

Dunno about this bit:

I've just done mine on-line and direct debit. Haven't had a season ticket for the last few seasons, but weirdly am looking forward to it!!

I'm in the Direct Debit trap I guess. I'll just let it drift and spend another year dodging going ... especially as we flail around in mid-table, if we're lucky.
