I think/hope MJ will be back. If so then Lee playing as he did Tuesday shouldn't be as big of a problem.
Don't let the 1-0 loss they had at home v Portsmouth fill you with confidence. They had the lions share of possession. 20 odd shots with 5 on target.
We are going to be at the races to get something out of this.

Usually only needs one or two against us lately....

Assuming MJ and Doyle are available, and Sheehan is out, I think we need to play Dapo at 10 and revert to the Lee-MJ axis in front of the defence.
Dixon
Isgrove Santos Aimson John
Lee MJ
Dapo
Baka Doyle Kachunga

Hoping our front man is fit. At least he'll put up a fight...

You never know what managers will do when they're under pressure. Gun's line-up looks reasonable, though Dapo would need to put a shift in and my confidence in that side of his game is shot. I'd not be shocked by much, to be honest. Baps in front of the back four or at right back wouldn't shock me, nor would Johnston at left back. I could even see Amaechi at 10. Injury crisis + pressure often = weird stuff happening.
Ultimately, I think Evatt will lean into Evattball rather than away from it and we will be sent out to get at them with Izzy and John pushed right up with either a 3-at-the-back or Williams/Baps dropping in there from midfield.
A "with your shield or on it" approach with either a pasting or a famous win.

I’m hopeful rather than optimistic regarding Lee starting. He looked knackered on Wednesday, so I think it’s more likely we see Thomason start, which is a big negative for me. If I were Ainsworth I’d be telling my players to target the kid because he’s slow and has a mistake in him.
Georgey boy just isn’t up to League One standard for me, and whilst I realise he only turns 21 in Jan, he looks some way off being up to the required standard.

If we do lose today, the first goal Tuesday is absolutely humongous. If we get it, today doesn't really matter; if Donny get it, things will quickly get very heavy and uncool.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Sat Nov 20, 2021 9:41 amNo, we almost need to forget about today and let them have a free hit. Next two home games are massive and we need to get behind them. If we can manage 10 points before January that will do for me.

Don't know who's on their left, but he'll fill his boots if it's isgrove and Baka on that side. Doesn't bear thinking about.

It's not Jamie Mascoll, who now plays for Wealdstone.

Hopefully he'll give Voldemort a kicking for us next Saturday.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Sat Nov 20, 2021 12:41 pmIt's not Jamie Mascoll, who now plays for Wealdstone.

I note Akinfenwa might play against us today. I thought he'd retired.

Comes off the bench for them in basically every game. Pretty sure he'd have come out of retirement to play against this back four.nicholaldo wrote: ↑Sat Nov 20, 2021 1:27 pmI note Akinfenwa might play against us today. I thought he'd retired.

Do they still have that bloke who's the size of Texas playing for them?
Anyway, we'll be fecking dogshit today, Jeff. 3-0 to Wycombe.

Aye, that’s Akinfenwa. He appears to be even bigger these days.Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Sat Nov 20, 2021 1:34 pmDo they still have that bloke who's the size of Texas playing for them?

Dixon, Baps, Santos, Aimson, Izzy, John, Williams, Lee, Thomason, Dapo, Kachunga....two kids on the bench.
Re: Not the only Wanderers..v Wycombe away 20-Nov 3-O clock.
Looks like either 352 with Dapo and Kachunga up top, or 433 with Baps or Aimson at RB. Christ.
MJ back at least, no Doyle or Baka in the squad. Two kids on the bench.
