Glad we've got Wrexham and Huddersfield early doors, perhaps before they fully settle.

We'll be playing Hollywood before the window shuts, and as for Hudds, it took Duff six months to turn Barnsley round. Very much to his credit that they reached the play-offs anyway, but they weren't relentless until the spring.

If I look at the first 10, there's a few teams in there that might prove "interesting" - Stoke up first, PV/Orient away (two grounds where we have on occasion been turned over), Hollywood, Hudds, like you say.

It could've been worse I guess, but overall probably not too bad.

We've been saying for 2 seasons that we have to start winning them sort of games. He needs to start winning them from the off. To be honest I'd rather find out early on, as the usual excuses of time to gel/get players fit isn't going to cut it this season. If we're serious about top 2 then we're going to have to win games against the likes of Hudds and Hollywood. That's not to say we'll win them all, but they're at home so no excuses for me.

Aye. Decent enough fixtures to know if it’s worth persevering with I reckon.

Aye they’ve been marooned in lower mid-table for half a decade, rarely looking threatened, even less often looking any good

If they came down they’d be giants, as it is they’re half-forgotten

Not really one to get excited about from a Bolton perspective. Guess the challenge will be how do we deal with them when they're still likely riding the crest of a wave from the promotion.

There's always the chance we exit the cups early like others have stated to focus on the cups but I feel these are ideal opportunities for Southwood, Lolos, etc

Decent game at theirs in the L2 run-in, iirc. 2-0 them with about 10 minutes left. Couple from Dec then King Arthur curled in the winner, in lockdown. There was much joy, that day!

Herbie Kane signed for Huddersfield. Interesting one. Not sure he was necessarily one I wanted to sign but he’s got the leadership qualities we lack in midfield.

The singer, not the song...
It's all a bit deck-chair re-arranging, isnt it? " A rose by any other name still smells just as sweet" quoth the bard, and the only thing certain about your Alfie Mays etc, is the fact that they are a year older. At Unibol Rivington, it's no use blaming the song if the singers aren't performing. Our need is for a change of attitude and determination, and the conductor to do a bit of hair-drying. instead of just baton-waving. It's been said to distraction that the best form of defence is attack, so let's get attacking first and defending from the front and not from the back.

Half our season is singing at other churches, but the hymns are the same wherever we are. Come on Whites, up and at em... :Jedi:

Rotherham sign another. Joe Hungbo, a striker on a season long loan from Nuremberg. Make your own 'trials' joke.

Wasn’t quite sure where to put this, but Wanderers have confirmed they plan to keep the South Stand Lower for home fans at all games, subject to demand. Away fans in the Upper.

Good decision this. Can only be a benefit to stick the away fans in the roof. And for the bigger games it lets us sell more tickets and have a more intimidating atmosphere.

It's a good move only giving the away fans the top tier, and reducing the away allocations - however given the match day ticket prices there will be very little demand unless it's one of the family days. If we are top two early in the season and crowds increase there may be some demand for the big games, but I'll be surprised if its more than a 1/4 or 1/3 full 4 or 5 times in the season.
