One Mansfield is another's lawn. Away to the Midlanders New Year's Day 3-0' clock'

It’d be the same starting lineup, for me, assuming Toal came through his hour unscathed.
Not sure I'd want to risk him on that heavy pitch this soon after his first 60 minutes for a bit.

Ah, I did just read Evatt saying something similar, Ghost. Will Forrester it is then.

If we were further up the league you might be satisfied with a point away at a middling side like Mansfield, but as it is this is pretty much falling into the must win category again.

Very much a don’t-lose. A Mansfield win means they leapfrog us. Last thing we need is another scrap for the final play-off place (if we’re even thereabouts!)

Even in our position it's not reasonable for every game to be a "must win", because winning 25 in a row isn't possible.

We need to win 4 of every 5 to have a prayer of the autos. 3 of every 5 to be fairly sure of the play-offs.

Let's see how we get on in game one of mission improbable.

No, but today’s game wouldn’t be in our top 10 most difficult remaining fixtures, so it’s pretty damn close to a must win for me.

Not sure about that. Away at Mansfield in horrendous conditions is a pretty tough one on paper. Would crack my top 10.

It’s in my top 10 because they’re 10th in the league  and it’s an away game

We've cocked up the first half of our season and the second half is probably the more difficult set of fixtures.

I can understand why people are looking at he fixture list with trepidation. We probably would be even if we were doing okay.

Supposedly he has really bad flu. Other suggestions are he's being kept safe for transfer.

Fibreglass goalkeeper knackered himself again.

Obviously my fault when he inevitably cocks up today, but Southwood was at least an (the) unmitigated success of the summer.

To be fair he got conked and broke his nose

Not sure that's on the injury-prone list.

Charles should be rampant today in wanting to impress. He’s due a goal or two—certainly after the iffy decision vs. Lincoln.

Sometimes it's about sending a signal.

Baxter dropped (rotated if you will), Vic not included. Matheson still nowhere near. I'd suspect Baxter is probably getting the message to sign or we have to start looking at Southwood, might just be a case of broken nose, rest it. Vic's probably getting the message saying you're on the way out (if he's not ill), if he is ill, then possibly different story. Matheson's had the message for a while.

Toal is out, but that may be preventative given he's only just come back in.

I think once we got mullered at Wembley Baxter decided he'd be off this summer.

He would've had his doubts when we didn't manage to get promoted via the automatics, especially given we had games in hand and were seemingly in a very good position.

Blame it on whoever or whatever, but I think we can all look back on it and think we should've got promoted.

Have to be beating sides that have a stand like that in their ground.
