I have lurked on one of Boro's forum sites. There were quite a lot saying exactly the same thing about last season where he was apparently poor and they would have given him away. But they did say he was back to his best this season and would be sad to see him leave. How good is his best I think we will have to wait and see.

Of course he is still young for a centre half. How many Premiership centre-halves are playing week-in and week-out at 23? I think of many.

Aye was probably our best player that night. Looked very comfortable. FAvourite moment was when Wigan where countering with a 4 v 3 advantage. Wheater just stepped up to the ball-carrier (Diame i think) and put his foot straight through the ball and out for a throw, leaving Diame sprawled on the turf.

Never realised how big he was either. He looks about 5ft wide!
