FA Cup fourth round replay: Wigan v Bolton

Re: FA Cup fourth round replay: Wigan v Bolton
I was quite impressed by one of the idiots who invaded the pitch last night. After verbally abusing the Bolton players, gesticulating to the fans, and dribbling past the welcoming stewards and police, he actually managed to make it back into the stand and disappeared into the crowd. Not that there was much of a home crowd to mingle into
... of course I may just be talking bo11ocks

Its like three tubular pieces of metal connected to make a an oblong resting on its longest side, the ground effectively providing the fourth side. To one side is tied some netting (hence the name) to collect the ball should it pass through the middle of this structure. Called a "goal".

The match report or the goal description?

Since the Chelsea game we've had four clean sheets in five games (Wigan, Wolves, Spurs, Everton, Wigan). The exception, at White Hart Lane, we conceded a worldy pearler and one of eight hundred penalties.enrdentw wrote:Yet to concede when Wheater has been on the pitch, I make that over 4 hours of football.

They might not want to - it's United. They then have City, Spurs and Chelsea as 3 of the 4 after that. Not looking good for them.plymouth wanderer wrote:surprised about the two fans invading the pitch

Nice work Chaddy.
Faultless commentary there. And credit to Martinez for blaming the pitch then pointing out that we adapted better – not, as might previously have been expected, by playing skyball, but by scoring a goal created by rapid fizzing passes along the ground.

No, it's not his. It belongs to yon bloke who's named the stadium after himself. Shan't give him the oxygen of publicity.Worthy4England wrote:I spotted that too. They could actually train on the fecker, to get used to it, without making it any bloody worse.
