FANTASTIC....Anybody not entertained by that is very hard to please.

Absolutely riveting game and even the commentators changed tune a bit second half. How the hell did Klasnic get a shot away from a ball a yard behind him? Penalty was a joke but God took over refereeing right then. That not-out ball was a just a bit too much for him. Young takes to the air at every opportunity and runs at players legs to do it. He's an out and out cheat and I loved his face hen he missed the pen and at the end. Serve him right.

Very evenly matched game but highlights the difference in then and now because we have natural goalscorers. Thought Davo worked really hard and there are still a rough edge or two- their second was a deirect result of two defenders getting tangled up, but loved every minute of it. So great to see us fighting for ninety (plus 4) minutes, although where the four came from is anybody's guess. Very, very happy Wanderer tonight.

I was thinking exactly the same thing, he is one of the best and picking up scraps in the box.

Some good goals there especially the second from Cahill.

How bad is Robbo's defending for their first! :(

Cahill's 2nd was awesome, but Klasnic's goal was *astonishing*. WHAT a finish!

Wheater was even worse for the pen!

Cahill's second was excellent and classic Klasnic for the third

Back home.Happy as Larry on a happy night.

Win undeserved if looked at objectively - but spirit and adventure deserves something sometimes. Well done, Owen, the subs did the job. Who dares, wins. (or so I've heard).

Albrighton MotM for me. Robo couldn't cope with the game - but he's had a good season, so forgiven. Steinsson... back post vacuum - they might have had four from the back post cross to an unchallenged forward... nice thick posts at Bolton also...

But we keep going these days, I reckon, and forward... Cahill our motm without doubt - Wheater had his toughest time so far - and came through with merit and a yellow...

Nine games to go... 40 points, 6th place... Playing attacking football, spirited, committed, a team...

How different these times seem from the ones that went before... And TFFT!!! :D

What did I say? Optimism reigns supreme :D

In all seriousness, we were lucky not to have been tonked in the first half. I'd love to see some of those Bent "not offside" decisions again. Horrible defending for their opener, and our midfield was at 6's and 7's against the 5 midfielders of Villa.

Yet we nicked a goal.

Villa were well on top again in the 2nd half. Horrible defending for their second goal. And I'd love to see whether the ball was actually (as it looked to all and sundry) over the touchline in the build up to the penalty. Stonewall decision after that though. Great save Jussi, and indeed, he pulled off a few today. Great finish from Cahill to level it up. A couple of stonewall handballs down our right flank adjacent to their box were not given. And cometh the hour, cometh the Klas. Superb goal, and after such a rollercoaster, I was almost in tears of joy.

6th place, a quarter final next weekend...the garden is oh so rosy now we've got rid of the gardener.

Nice to see music back after we score, not sure on the choice of song though.
