Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
he signs "a certain kind of player with a certain DNA"??
what - so all our new signings are going to be related??? surely that's even worse than them all being his mates?
the 2 new signings MUST be the Neville brothers....

He's not bad, nothing spectacular. Certainly not in the same league as Sparky
Pfffft.

So one could be Owen Garvan. I know absolutely nothing about him.

Are we going to get wailing and gnashing of teeth because he's signing players from his former club then?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

I suppose theyre above us rather than a division lowerTKIZ! wrote:ProbablyLord Kangana wrote:Are we going to get wailing and gnashing of teeth because he's signing players from his former club then?
Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
And when he was in charge of them those players were top of the league or very close to it. If he's talking about 2 definite signings, makes sense that they would be from Palace. maybe an agreement to leave them alone til the end of the season? I can imagine players wanting to join him here when you look at the shambles they're becoming under holloway.Jez wrote:I suppose theyre above us rather than a division lowerTKIZ! wrote:ProbablyLord Kangana wrote:Are we going to get wailing and gnashing of teeth because he's signing players from his former club then?

Which would make it interesting if we were to play then in the next 2 or 3 weeks !!LeverEnd wrote:And when he was in charge of them those players were top of the league or very close to it. Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
As someone in the office pointed out yesterday: What if Götze has to take the deciding penalty in the Champions League shoot-out? Well, that would be a mere bauble compared to if (say) Mile Jedanik had to take one in the play-off final...Jez wrote:Maybe it'll be like the gotze incedent.. on a bit of a lesser scalebobo the clown wrote:Which would make it interesting if we were to play then in the next 2 or 3 weeks !!LeverEnd wrote:And when he was in charge of them those players were top of the league or very close to it. I wouldn't mind that young striker from Peterborough in the side, Dwight Gayle.
Pfffft.
Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
Might be slightly out of reach but Mladen Petrić knows where the net is and is out of contract this summer.

I think, unless we manage to land Dawson or Spearing, we're going to be getting a few folks we've hardly ever heard of. Anyone done a search for all the Butterfields? I'm sure we still haven't landed the right one yet, but I do think he understands those areas that we need players the most, from what I've seen so far.

Yeah. Forget all the Jedinaks and names like that. We will be rebuilding on the cheap. Only thing is that Dougie seems comfortable with that. Let's see what he turns up. Medo was a good start!Worthy4England wrote:I think, unless we manage to land Dawson or Spearing, we're going to be getting a few folks we've hardly ever heard of. Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
Jedinak is out of contract isn't he? If they don't go up I wouldn't be surprised to see him coming in.

Jedinak has another year on his contract.
Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
Ah. I'm sure I'd heard 'last year of his contract' this weekend, must have been 'going into'. I like him but I really don't think it's a priority unless there are serious concerns about Holden. Medo, Holden, a year older Vela, D-Pratz, maybe Spearing, Mark Davies and Andrews to come back.
