Is it Baccus ?
I thought the video showing the guys back was perhaps telling.

But its not its Ashworth, another underwhelming signing - my bad apologies.

Has played left-back, centre-back, defensive midfield...

O.I.C.

No, fair enough mate, if they will play these guessing games....

I'm somewhat reminded of one transfer deadline day - back-page BEN headline "Neal signs winger" with pic of David Lee - well he'd tried but the winger was Michael Brown...

We have the option to make the deal permanent.

That makes this a much more positive deal, for me.

Another one I've never heard of. Is he body-count or any good?

Mind you the "PSG" video is a thing of beauty. We should probably target more investment there.

Why pay a fee when you can loan-to-buy and see exactly what you are getting? Seems like a very sensible bit of business to not risk the money before we need to.

Would that one make Evatt a bullshitter too?

Is he an experienced championship player, capable of keeping us in the championship should we ever go up ?

How many games has he played ?

When did Evatt say we wanted experienced Championship players?

The story was that the players we wanted were either contracted to Champ/Prem clubs or had offers from Championship clubs to consider.

Did he ever actually say we were after experienced Champ players?

Nowt against Ashworth he sounds versatile and useful but I don’t think it improves our first 11 significantly.

Worthy, yes I would be very happy with that & would withdraw my Evatt bullshitter comment.

If true ? that would be a statement / marquee signing if he can stay fit !

I'm sure if was you Ghost who said that we are targeting players that could not only get us promoted, but would also be of the quality to keep us in the championship the next season - but I could be wrong ?

Are you now saying that it wasn't you ?

What you've said doesn't necessarily indicate experience. It indicates ability. Two very different things.

No, I've said that.

I didn't say we were targeting "experienced Championship players", though.

I mean, we might be; but my expectation is that we're mostly targeting lads around that 23-27 age. Either heading into their prime years or at a good developmental age physically and mentally. Players who are either surplus at Champ/Prem clubs or have options to move there as squad players, but might prefer first team footy here.

Dack, who you mentioned, was someone I discussed with DSB back in January - as at the time his name was getting mentioned in relation to us for the summer by folks in the game. However, I wasn't expecting him to rock up with Evatt saying we'd moved past the free agents market. If he does, cool.

Tealeaf-readers may like to parse this mid-sentence self-correction from Evatt, reported earlier this week:

"The players we are targeting are all, or mostly, attached to football clubs."

Of course, he could mean Luke Matheson... :D
