But that's the reason he was brought in wasn't it?

He was bought in because Owen Coyle was such an abject failure as a manager. Hopefully he will turn us around, but due of the dire state in which Coyle left the club, it could well take a year. But we are at least seeing small improvements: Marvin Sordell has re-found his scoring boots (after being Coyle left his confidence in tatters); Marcus Alonso and Tim Ream have, according to many, being playing very well recently; we've bought in some promising players in the transfer window.

You're being kind. They're fecking clueless. Two clean sheets was enough to convince the usual suspects that he knew what he was doing.
The blind ones are the ones who ignored the complete shambles we'd become last October.

Had we changed it then we probably would have stayed up with the premiership millions.

The fact we even need to turn it round now is because of that.

Not if we'd appointed Dougie we wouldn't.

Only thing a game in hand gives us is a worse goal differance.

so... still not anything to do with the manager??

Is a loss away at Watford after hitting the bar and apparently bossing the game (57% possession) really the time to get the knives out?

How many points did we get for hitting the bar and most of the possession?

To say that Freeman would have kept us up is ridiculous. There is absolutely no evidence to say that Freeman is any better than Coyle as a manager. Until Freeman starts getting better results, you simply can't argue he's any better. He might be a better coach but managers are judged on results and, as things stand, Freeman has been very disappointing. There has been no improvement in our position.

anyway... calm down, calm down!! we need to get a little less stressed by the whole thing. Dougie is here to stay - we're not about to sack him...

so - the only sensible thing to do is accept that the new plan is a rebuilding job - and that this has only just begun - the glass is still vibrating from the window slamming shut... all we need to do is avoid relegation and nurture a new club spirit and get promoted next season - easy! so smile 8)

(also - take some bad drugs!)
