Thank feck for that! Highlights make it look like it's open play. Was wondering what the feck he was doing up there!

Thanks for those, mate.
Reiterated a few things for me. Piss poor defending for their first (although I still can't work out whether or not their lad handballs it at the back post - looked like it yesterday). Spearing really does need to give his head a decent shake after putting in a challenge like that anyway, let alone on a player in the box that's going away from goal - no excuse for that whatsoever. Forest too should have done better defensively on both of our goals, especially Wheater's. And Davies' miss looks even worse when viewed again.

Davies's miss looks even worse on the highlights...as does Spearing's lunge.

If you freeze frame it, the Spearing challenge is outside the box...

The ref doesn't have freeze frame though. Jay is a silly boy as he didn't need to do it, regardless of inside/outside.

15,753. Assuming there were a couple of thousand from Forest, then it'll be one of our better gates this season.

Was it really? Blimey. It was only when I saw the highlights that I realised how empty the place looked. Forest fetched a good 2,500, I'd say. That's pretty poor from our lot then for a game we should have reasonably expected at least 17,500 on for!

From ESL yesterday it looked suspiciously like Antonio used his arm to get the ball back down for Assombalonga. But then I would say that

I'm away with very limited reception. So ... We played Medo as a winger and when that (amazingly) failed took him off for Trotter while leaving Feeney on the bench. Is that right ?
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

We replaced him with Pratley. But it's essentially the same thing. Bizarre doesn't even cover it.

That is correct, Sir. But even more weirder was that from where I was sat it looked like we actually played a little better once Trotter came on, albeit for 10-15 mins.

Is it possible that Dougie is trying to rest Feeney for the Boro game?
Pfffft.

We played the same system as we did last season when we beat Blackburn, Leeds etc.

Medo on the right of a diamond is not new and he played there in our best run last season.

16,141 according to this http://www.worldfootball.net/attendance ... 13-2014/1/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If Forest had 2,500 or so, then there would have been c.13,000 home supporters. So, looks like we'll be averaging around 14,000 this season.

It's pretty scandalous and nonsensical if he is. Burnley played pretty much the same 11 throughout last season and got promoted. None of this 'resting' players lark. Dougie over complicates matters. He lets Eagles go, brings Feeney in ... but then plays defensive midfielders on the wing instead.

He doesn't play Medo on the wing. Playing without wingers in a home game is not ideal however. Are we going to be home draw specialists again?

Chungy pissed me off for their first goal. Had a 45 second period where 3/4 times he didn't track a runner and left the appallingly bad Ream 2v1.. Then when Burke got the ball and Chungy sauntered goalside (eventually), he made absolutely no effor to press him and picked his man out at the far post. God knows where the rest of the defence were..

A really shitty goal
