Between the lines. Home to Reading, Sat 21st Sept/ 3'oclock.

Where fellow sufferers gather to share the pain, longing and unrequited transfer requests that make being a Wanderer what it is...

That would've been the cherry on the cake. Thommo no time to react.

Off the bar. This goes 4-3 and we’re in danger.

Good few moments there getting the crowd going. None of them shot related, they were tackles, but all showing the level of commitment and passion that we've been crying out for. Great to see.

96/97 we’d have been able to get pollock or Sheridan on the pitch to get a grip of that midfield…that’s what we need

It's not about personnel in midfield, it's the shape. Every possible variation we've had in the with this shape is the same. When you're on top it's great. When you're not you just can't get the ball back. Three midfielders scurrying around chasing shadows.

Not sure about Dempsey for Sheehan… we need to get control in the middle

Fair play to Reading. They've not given up.

I'd second that. Probably comes down to recruitment choices rather than incorrect decisions during this game.

Midfield of Arfield and Dempsey seems very questionable.

Have we reverted back to three up top, those midfield spaces seem to be opening up again.

Lack of quality in options in the midfield area certainly proving problematic. Dempsey looks like a covering forward as does Arfield. What we don't have is a covering meaty playmaker that's known for breaking up play and spraying passes (Warhurst and Campo style role)

Victor off. Absolute shift and a half by him today.

Collins on. We'll see.

Vic and Dion have been great today. Lovely stuff.

Question marks creeping into the side as we've stepped off the pressure.

Don't think any of the subs have entered the pitch in the same manner as those that started the game. Maybe that's the intention given we're 2 goals up with a game in midweek.

First set piece from Randell, first set piece goal for Dempsey. Reminiscent of his header in the cup final.

5-2 last time round with a hatrick (Collins)
5-2 this time round with a hatrick (Charles)

The amount of space we afford to the left side of Johnston has been a bit concerning. Suppose that's the trouble with playing with three at the back.

Victor is my MOTM. Absolute beast up top allowing Dion to do what Dion does.

Did that really happen? Injury time shown whilst we are getting into the 18 yard box.

Has Arfield got money on himself to be booked?!

Stupid decision to get that yellow. Man in front of him aswell.

Thought that shot from Dempsey hit the bar, but in reality its a headed clearance onto the bar, great defensive block that.
