In fact, there you go, I'll do the work for you.

I suspect the fact that he's only a chairman and doesn't state exact figures completely discounts the point. Such sadness.

but you sounded so confident and knowledgeable.. I really hoped you knew what you were on about and could tell me authoritatively... a little part of me has died :(

it was the little bit that had some faith that for once were not just spouting any old guff - but actually knew what you were talking about and could offer a clear answer... it was like a glimpse of a rainbow over the forum... but it turned out to be a mirage of bluster and evasion, as usual... sadness :(

No, just the fate that awaits our little communal adventure going forwards into the rosy sunrise beginning to illuminate 2014-15.

To my mind it's a thread filled mostly with joy and optimism.

Not unlike the rest of life.

Even the seam of cynicism and misery has me chuckling.

I commend the author.

So, this is what "homesick" looks like ...
Robinson had failed to settle in the area to such an extent that he was three days away from signing for a property that he had secured for himself and his girlfriend who was moving from the South.
It was then he was approached by Freedman and informed that he would not feature in the manager’s plans for the coming season. Robinson was aghast. There were other options available to him prior to signing for Bolton and he had only agreed to put pen to paper on being given assurances that there would be at least the chance of first team football.

Whilst the senior players went off on tour, Robinson was sent to Lancaster University to train with the development squad. He demanded a transfer, his contract was terminated and a covering story concocted for reasons that can only be speculated on.

Odd.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

Indeed. Though to be fair that particular website does seem to have an agenda against the club. No quotes as DSB would point out, so a pinch of salt is probably order of the day.

Would like some quotes or, y'know, any hint of it not being some one playing at the Internet in that article.

Quotes aren't always the be-all-and-end-all - sometimes people don't want to be quoted. Sometimes, even when they are, it doesn't mean much. I've just quoted you.

Having said that, McCormick does seem to have an agenda, you're quite right. And I doubt that Robinson was told that he had "no chance" of playing for the first team this season - rather that he would be in the "development" squad (again), and that he was behind a large number of other people. Much the same as with Andrews. Except that, since he's much younger, and on much lower wages, he was still one for the future.

If he couldn't handle that, then tough. Basically.

Although that does assume that any of it is true....

Well, Keith Andrews has gone. To Watford. On loan.

Given we have another million midfielders, and he wouldn't have played anyway, I suppose that's good.

Not allowed to play against us either.

Good that, as he would have been a certain to score on opening day

Don't worry - there's plenty of others that'll score for them against us.
