Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
One finds it difficult to imagine how Arsenal got their flat track bully moniker. Naturally one also assumes that Red Cafe and whatever passes for a citeh forum is just full of Arsenal fans lording it over their competitiors.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Also Mertesacker has made 2-3 mistakes which cost us, rest of the time he's been great. Unlike Cahill who makes plenty of small mistakes each game. I know you guys will never admit this, but your chairman messed up big time and his childish behaviour on twitter has cost his club millions. I think Bolton will get 4-5 million for him and still go down, they are in the bottom 3 despite having him so far this season, and I remember how Cahill was going to keep you up hence why he’s worth 20 million lool![]()
I will guess that it was more like an £8m flat rate rising to £10m depending on your league position and a further £2m depending on how you do in CL. Why would we want to deal in those terms.
How dare we not accept a bid from a team like Arsenal when you come knocking! Who the hell do we think we are. Tosser.

He does?

This troll hasn't posted since the end of the transfer window. I assume with Arsenal's start to the season he didn't feel confident enough to. Like all JCL's only sings when they're winning. Couple more wins, he'll probably go to his first home game of the season.Lord Kangana wrote:One finds it difficult to imagine how Arsenal got their flat track bully moniker. OK. If you have a trusted source at the club it must be true. I apologise.

I believe that around your neck of the woods you'll be referred to as being something of a 'Hampton Wick' if I'm not mistaken!Abs wrote:Also Mertesacker has made 2-3 mistakes which cost us, rest of the time he's been great. Latest rumour (Today's Sun) is that Chelsea will offer around 8 mil for GC, and Josh Macheachen on loan till season end?

Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
If true it would be a no brainer for the club - its a decent deal for a player (admittedly an England International) who's out of contract in the summer.TANGODANCER wrote:Latest rumour (Today's Sun) is that Chelsea will offer around 8 mil for GC, and Josh Macheachen on loan till season end?

I'd rather they gave us £4m plus Anelka (so we could afford his wages for a year)

Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
i would rather have Ryan Bertrand (looks a good player) on loan and the dosh at least he would replace robbo
or at the very least Paulo Ferreira i know he's a dinosaur but good experience and can play RB/LB

Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
saw in The Sun online that we deal with chelsea for 7m for cahill ? Any truth ? In anticipation that JT might be banned ala suarez?
Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
I think that we have to be happy with £7mil in January, I'd like to say try and get £10mil but I don't think it will happen.
Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
might happen if spuds get into the act as well and start a bidding war.

Phil Jones picked up an injury last night - might tempt Red Beak into making a bid

Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
Another day, another Chelsea linkup.
Cahill is thought to be top of Chelsea's wanted list
Cahill is thought to be top of Chelsea's wanted list
Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas has confirmed he will try and sign a new central defender in the January transfer window.
Chelsea's need for defensive reinforcements increased on Thursday night when Branislav Ivanovic picked up an injury against Tottenham and Jose Bosingwa was forced to switch from right-back to central defence to partner John Terry.
Alex seems set to leave Chelsea after handing in a transfer request, while David Luiz is also missing through injury.
Bolton defender Gary Cahill has been strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, with Villas-Boas admitting he is an admirer of the England international.
Bolton could be forced to sell Cahill next month with the defender out of contract at the end of the season and they would prefer to get a fee for the player rather than risk losing him for nothing in the summer.
Villas-Boas could welcome back Luiz for the Boxing Day clash with Fulham, but the Portuguese tactician admits a new defender is his top transfer target in the January window.
"We could have David Luiz available to return on Boxing Day," said Villas-Boas. "But we are in the market for another centre-half and we have to respond quickly when the transfer window opens."
