HT, I'm not exactly filled with confidence for the new season so far. We should, In all fairness be smashing teams like Carlisle with our bench warmers.

Some half time thoughts. We probably don't deserve to be 1 down. We've had a couple of decent chances. Their goal from the standard bwfc template of 'fullback X fails to prevent cross. Centre back Y fails to deal with it and striker Z bundles it home'. Some things will never change.

Hall looks a good player. Quick, tricky, and looks like he may offer a bit of end product. Rotating him, lee and eagles will be a good option this season.

Eagles should decide which role he is playing. Starting left wing tonight but wandering far too much, often finding himself on the right wing with hall. Leaving us without any real shape.

Eaves and davies upfront should never happen again.

Medo has given the ball away cheaply a bit too often. Shame as he usually looks pretty calm in there and has a lot of time on the ball.

Pratley is being pratley, which is fine apart from when he's in a midfield 2 with someone who is also giving it away a lot and playing infront of two centre backs who don't have passing too high on their list of abilities.

Mears and hall look good down the right together.

Second half id like to see hall, lee, eagles playing behind beckford or sordell. That would excite me

I think we'll have a big change for the second half.

It will purely depend who Dougie wants to get 90 mines under their belt.

You know .... we all know that's right ... but it was that sort of bollox to fall back on which we got last year, and the year before from that useless, clueless Scottish tw@t and I don't want to hear it again.

Sorry.

It's true every year though. We know the problems and strengths we have from last season.

Wait till the season is underway before panicking or getting overly excited.

It is true. That we were shit in pre-season and shit at the start doesn't prove the two are related. The reason we had a shit start is because they weren't fit enough, he didn't know his best team, and we couldn't defend to save our lives.

The only goal that worries me from the Shrewsbury game was the first. The second was a great hit, and more importantly, came from a corner of a the type of shit you don't find in the Champo. The third was all to do with Zat Knight being Zat Knight, and nowt to do with fitness or organisation.
