Well done Dougie very good signing, he may even start, I believe he used to play in the centre of midfield.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

I don't think Tom said he expected anything different.
He just pointed out, that, you know, maybe he could have just shut the f*ck up? Possibly?? And get on with it???

Wednesday morning bemoans youngsters/olders/middlers/loaners/everyone but him.
Wednesday afternoon exonerated from this seeming act of contrition by bish. Because it is everyone else's fault.

Re: Rumour has it.............
Eagles training with Millwall apparently. Millwall fans laughing at how we prefer Feeney over a 'quality player' like Eagles. Didn't think he would be 'their sort of player'.
Re: Rumour has it.............
The fact is Eagles is a miles better player than Feeney, and if he goes there I can't believe they will be paying him anything we can't match. However it seems bridges were burnt, and though we don't get to see behind closed doors, it looks to me like a failure of man-management strikes again. An in-form Eagles would make a difference right now. He's no superstar and I wasn't his biggest fan, but if a manager gets the best out of him he can be very effective.

Ah yes, but remember, we're now giving youth a chance and not just getting random loans in. Remember that comment? Or did it not happen? Again.

Re: Rumour has it.............
This. When we signed Eagles, my view was that he and Mears weren't Premiership quality. That's still my view, but it shows how poor we were in the Premiership that last season, that I thought Eagles was one of our better players and probably our best player the season after when we finished 7th in the Chump. It was fairly clear that a section of the fanbase had it in for him, like they always do, so I think his time with us was borrowed anyway, but shame that he might go to a competitor.LeverEnd wrote:The fact is Eagles is a miles better player than Feeney, and if he goes there I can't believe they will be paying him anything we can't match. I don't think it's whether Millwall can pay more than us particularly (although it wouldn't necessarily surprise me), but when you have a Contract in place, then it's often easier to say you'll try your hand elsewhere than agree to a 30% salary cut (or whatever was being discussed). You might not achieve any better anywhere else, but if you have confidence in yourself, then maybe you view it as a no lose gamble.

... & for all the talk of his mega wages and how we had to unload him because we couldn't afford him there is no way that Millwall would be paying him top drawer money.
I honestly believe Dugout simply can't take debate or being disagreed with. His line of "people who aren't willing to learn" (approximate quote) was code for "people who look at me, mouth agape, when I come out with some of my bollox ideas".

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

hmmm... it's a lot easier to offer a player lower wages when he has been unemployed for a few months than it is to lower the wages of a player currently under contract... but then, you know this!bobo the clown wrote:... & for all the talk of his mega wages and how we had to unload him because we couldn't afford him there is no way that Millwall would be paying him top drawer money.

Re: Rumour has it.............
I daresay that all the loanees that are coming in, and the supposedly cheap transfers, are actually costing a lot more than anyone seems to have bargained for.
As a for example, the transfer fee of young Clayton is around £300k. Assuming we have a unified budget (and with all the pissing and moaning about FFP I don't see why not) thats around £6k a week in wages. Obviously, that doesn't include his wages. And thats for a 20 year old who has hardly kicked a ball in a year. Thats just one of the seemingly endless conveyer belt of players. That are, allegedly, costing us nothing.
Of course, we haven't got any money. Apart from when we have.

And this for a player to play for the reserves who "probably won't be able to help us"

*Presumably with possibility of extension. Six weeks is an unusual length of time

On that basis, he'll probably be brilliant, then return whence he came in double-quick time, leaving us to lament poor Dougie "if only that one had been permanent....". Again.
