Should hope so. Sounds a lot of money, but in this day and age it's peanuts. What did we pay for Sordell, three million?malcd1 wrote:Bolton News wrote:3:01pm Wanderers have REJECTED a £2million bid for Zach Clough from Nottingham Forest.

Townsend to NUFC is as good as done too... quite exciting actually. if we could land both ALF & Ameobi plus keep Clough & Vela then i might have a shandy...

Re: Hanging on, January Transfer Window thread 2017
Meanwhile, one name I didn't expect to see in the transfer news was Trevor Morgan – but Sumo was the last player to move from Bristol Rovers to Bristol City.... until today. The Robins signed Matty Taylor, activating a buyout clause rumoured to be as low as £300,000 - an absolute steal. Pouring petrol on the flames, the club have hashtagged it #WelcomeToBristol...

Bradford release Filipe Morais. Winger/support striker. As he says in this piece, “I can play left, right, or behind the striker.”
Free agent, so we don't have to rush, but it's a non-Odemwingie option should we find ourselves with a free squad space tomorrow.

I make no apologies for multiple posting, but anyway this seems big news from Iles...
A SECOND bid has been received from Nottingham Forest for Zach Clough. I'm led to believe there has not been a decision on whether to accept it.

X2. And if we could offload Trotter, then that's two shandies.General Mannerheim wrote:Townsend to NUFC is as good as done too... quite exciting actually. if we could land both ALF & Ameobi plus keep Clough & Vela then i might have a shandy...
I'm split on Clough going. Heart says no, but head says yes... If the bid was £5m+, and if we had - at the very least - ALF and Ameobi secured.
But even if a bid for Clough is accepted, he'd still have to agree to it, and I don't think he would.

The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

Too many leaving Wigan so I'd be surprised if Le Fondre were to leave. Think a deal could be done but it surely must rely on wigan bringing people in

Re: Hanging on, January Transfer Window thread 2017
We may be past that point - I read that he's quit them and "gone back" to Cardiff. We're looking at a permanent deal (buying out his Cardiff contract), although interestingly he hasn't played for the Bluebirds this season so technically (as I understand it) he could be loaned to us.Mar wrote:Too many leaving Wigan so I'd be surprised if Le Fondre were to leave. Reports from Nottingham suggest 2nd bid is £3.5m. Should we accept? What is a price we should accept? Or should we not sell at any price?

Tweet from KA's fluffy bit of daughter in law at 5.15pm.
Sounds like we've got ALF or Ameobi, Shirley?
Second bid turned down for Clough. Reckon they'll come back with a third for £5m and it'll be accepted (but again, whether Clough agrees to go is a different story)
