I certainly remember last time they were in the top league
In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

Read King Ken’s statement. He can only have let the BN back in to trumpet his sale in which he’s made no profit and has done it to run away from the trust/tennis ball throwers! A better day than Monday in terms of news I think.
I’m pleased the Iles ban is lifting, was rather pettt that one. And as for the first time he has paid staff late...he’s got some front!
I’m not playing Rangers or Accy but good god I hope we can all get back to talking about football soon! We shall see.

If Tango might be allowed to clarify his own post?
I was simply comparing the fact that our present dilema (which I can't do anything about except wait like everyone else) - skint, no class players and evading court appearances with all the aplomb of a Silcock Special dodgem car, (mentioned in another thread) seems a million miles away from those balmy days when we stood on the embankment with not a care in the world and you didn't need a re-mortgage to attend matches. Sure shxt happens somewhere every day of our lives and there's always somebody in it up to their necks, but just not the sort normally that might see the end of "Bolton Wanderers" ( not Glasgow or anywhere else) , unless fortune smiles kindly on us and soon...... is all.

Nixon writes in The Sun that Ken is “desperate to sell within two days” to avoid copping for the players’ wages.

...and Iles writes that it’s looking good to happen.

Believe it when I see it. I will be surprised if any deal can be signed off so quickly. But we live in hope!Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2019 7:25 amNixon writes in The Sun that Ken is “desperate to sell within two days” to avoid copping for the players’ wages.

Generally if you look down the thread the vast majority are sympathetic or running a bizzare angle about their recent fine for spy gate and the EFL. Most I speak to here in Leeds are sympathetic and also fairly knowledgable on the worst case scenarios!Jim_McDonuts wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2019 7:17 amIt's noticeably the LU 'fans/tools' most vehement re bwfc on twitter - not bitter, nope, not at all...

Long time lurker here.
I'm surprised that nobody has picked up / commented on Lee Anderson's tweets from yesterday. They were either genuinely englightening as to what is currently happening on the deal front, or the ramblings of a madman. Either are equally likely in my opinion. For reference here they are:

That's some idiot pretending to be Lee Anderson. I really do not get why people waste their time doing this, but there you are.JustSomeBloke wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2019 9:35 amLong time lurker here.

Well there's another account to remove from my ever shrinking list of Twitter follows. Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )
Ongoing Nixon Q&A, for those who care. Questions in italics.
is mark Warburton still involved with the Basran consortium
Believe so
Is there a decent chance new owners will be in by Saturday or at least subject to EFL approval
Aim is ‘by weekend’ and has been for last 2-3 days. Best if it is.
how will any other party by Basran have it done in time, what about the due diligence by the other parties?
There’s a deal to be done by either side here. At better terms than ever. The seller wants out fast. A sharp operator would know how to do that. Any way it takes.
does Kenyon have a bid submitted ?
Just know there’s been regular contact. He will know price.
Id imagine Basran and consortium will be the ones to tick most if not all those points... fingers cross
Logically yes. But u don’t know how desperate the money men behind the deals are to do it ... and beat each other. There can only be one winner.
we realistically looking at the deal being complete before the millwall game?
All things point to a Friday deal. Preferably early so that players get paid. Although they seem a resilient bunch.
with kenyon knkwn to the efl with the Newcastle situation will it just be a case of meeting KA terms and a deal being done very quick ?
Don’t think fit and proper test would slow things down here. For anybody.
is that cos the test is incompetent or prospective buyers seem kosher?
Don’t think the League wants to delay any deal. Don’t think either of those named have any problems passing it.
What is the attraction for these new owners exactly for a club on league 1 need c100mill investment and 5 -10y to get in Prem plus complete culture change in club and whole.bunch of luck ?
Clean sheet of paper. Will be debt free when minor ones settled. Payroll not mad. May be League One. But potential for growth.
Who is your 10p on Al? Basran or Kenyon? Think I’m going Basran.
8p on Basran. 2p on Kenyon. But it’s never done until it’s done. Cast your mind back three years ...
is Big Sam in any way connected with the Kenyon bid ?
Not heard that
What about the supposedly local business man with ukraine money whoever he is out of the running now ?
Don’t know much about that one. Been plenty of people coming and going. Tyre kickers as Chairman Ken put it. He got that bit right.

Best bet is silence till things are finalised, for very obvious reasons..

Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )
Per Nixon's timeline, an interesting alternative route opening up... the Davies family trust might end up back in control...
BOLTON. The Game of Thrones bit coming closer. The other way to skin the Davies family having a major say in proceedings. They have given a loan and want it back. They could even deal with a buyer instead if Anderson stalls on paying them. They want Eddie’s money now. Players getting a bit peeved too now ...
(Q: So Davies family take Ken’s shares then sell on? That could introduce significant delay I’d have thought.)
Its an option. And wouldn’t really delay.
(Q: If KA doesn’t repay the money don’t the Davies effectively own the club ??)
It could well come to that.
(Q: When could that happen then ?? Is there’s a deadline for Davies money being repaid & this happening ??)
Trying to find out time table of that option. It’s been explored for last few days. By at least one party. And it’s becoming a very live alternative route now.
(Q: Talk about going full circle. Thought this would all be done by tomorrow)
It could yet be.
(Q: This all sounds very negative i give up)
It’s what exit Anderson chooses now. The agreed price one. Or the other.
(Q: "The other" surely it can't be administration as he wouldn't get any money...intriguing)
Other is that a Davies family takes it back. And sells on their terms.
(Q: Would I be right in thinking Ken would want to avoid this option if possible? Surely he’d end up losing out on money?)
It’s intriguing. There’s a fair bit going on today that needs sorting. But will have to be.
(Q: do you think it will be completed by the millwall game ?)
This is moving and changing by the hour.
(Q: would this effect bwfc as ka said he loaned it to the club)
Layman’s terms. Davies family take club back and then sell. Doing a deal over any extras in the process.

Two years, three months and counting. Almost like yesterday... Apart from the thread title...TonyDomingos wrote: ↑Wed Nov 30, 2016 7:26 pmThe perfectionist in me demands a correctly titled thread for a saga that, I suspect, has a few more twists and turns in it yet.
How soon until the new investment arrives?
Will it buy us that elusive goal scoring centre forward?
That's not a leopard!

So...less chance of liquidation then? I expect dealing with the family will be much more straightforward than with Ken.
