Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
I'd pay him 80k or so no bother. Rate him highly, I just don't see it being done anytime soon. I thought it'd of been wrapped up after you played Wolves

I'd like to think it was at a stage where Chelsea would want to slip up a fiver to rest him, but wouldn't be surprised if he played seeing as he's still here.ChrisC wrote:I wonder if he will play against Everton? Or will he be gone by then?
Wonder where he's gone. Skeggy is nice any time of year.chelseaLad wrote:I asked because today he (nixon) said the hold up is because we are waiting to get hold of Roman on his holiday to approve the personal terms. I can't see Cahill asking for 120k a week like the Express reckon.
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.
Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
Dont blame Cahill one bit for asking for 120k,
John Terry will be on 150k and above David Luiz i reckon is on 120k easy and he is shite, Cahill cant be going into training everyday knowing that he is on a lot less money than Luiz and hes better.
Luiz cost 20m and is no where near the finished article. good lad Cahill if they need him they will pay, its only a couple of barrells of siberian oil anyhow,

Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
Nixon is mates with Coyle on a personal level.
So he prints what Coyle understands the situation to be at that time, of course its always a few hours behind events but thats journalism for you...
Despite what some argue, Nixon has admitted that he's close pals with Owen and thats why pretty much every story he prints is the truth or as close to the truth as he's allowed to go. And why he defends Owen on twitter every day I guess...
Once Owen goes, Nixon will be guessing about us like the rest.

Wish this deal would just feck off and get signed now. Sick of it all, it's almost as bad as the Tevez speculation.

Plenty of teams he will improve, and Tottenham aint the second rate choice it used to be (could be spazzys last season mind)
Cant see him being cup tied so could well be his last match for us

Is reluctantnicko on twitter the same Alan Nixon who is reliable with bolton news? If so, he tweeted someone earlier saying Chelsea and Cahill have reached a compromise, just awaiting Abramovich to give it the OKCAPSLOCK wrote:London press reckon its off

Seems to save his best performances, from a goal scoring point of view at least, for the transfer windows!

Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
It's a running joke on here, because I only quote his transfer stories since he's Coyles mate and therefore the only accurate one!chelseaLad wrote:I just got told a few posts up its you! haha Hold on, unless you're Alan....BWFC_Insane wrote:Yeah that's him!chelseaLad wrote:Is reluctantnicko on twitter the same Alan Nixon who is reliable with bolton news? I don't have any sort of twitter and gave up reading his since he retaliated against any criticism of his mate rather than just ignoring it!

Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
Relegation will cost us a lot more than £7m.
Based on the last few games, we may have a shot at avoiding relegation with Cahill in the side. Without him, we have no chance.
I hope it does fall through. Painful to write off the £7m but I'd rather stay up.
