I could mullayo but I'm having way to much funmullayo wrote:TKIZ, this thread is at 122 (mostly pointless) pages. In light of an actual transfer happening in the next day or so, shouldn't you start another (guaranteed to be much more successful) thread lest the bad luck from this one haunts us still?

This thread is weird. It now seems to be fashionable to state "I don't believe it" before anything anybody posts.
Or maybe after. Before. After. I lose track.
Have we all turned into Richard fecking Wilson. Or whatever his name is? I can't remember. I could look it up. But no.
Or is there something else going on? Something more sinister? I don't believe it.
Anyway, can I say for the record that I believe every bit of transfer gossip, speculation, chat and general shite that gets posted here.
It's also much better than the football. Which, let's face it, is crap. Scrap football, and keep transfer gossip, that's what I say.
Transfer gossip is good. As are pubs. Football is shite.
Pah.

While it's enjoyable, you have to admit it's lost it's shape a little (see directly above) and I can't help but feel a new thread with a new signing would get us off on the good foot, bring luck and spawn further signings etc.TKIZ! wrote:I could mullayo but I'm having way to much funmullayo wrote:TKIZ, this thread is at 122 (mostly pointless) pages. At least that way when the moaning starts that these threads are a waste of time you can point to the first pages as a glorious beginning and the golden dawn of a new era etc. before it all went pear shaped which it seems to be now (again see above)
What could've happened; did.

I love all the hyperbolic transfer window language that makes it all seem so endlessly dramatic...
today we have...
Leicester and Wolves are fighting over £4million-rated Reading skipper Matt Mills.
Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini is preparing a daring bid to snatch Samir Nasri away from Arsenal
Manchester City are hatching a plot to wreck Manchester United's pursuit of Samir Nasri.
Steve Kean is lining up a £4million swoop for Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha.
Ferguson and Mancini are locked in battle over wantaway Nasri.
Manchester City are close to an amazing double swoop on Arsenal - delivering a shattering blow to neighbours United at the same time.
Sven-Goran Eriksson is set to beat Sam Allardyce in a £3million scrap for Craig Mackail-Smith.

I'd say we're signing a player today, don't want to give too much away though. My sources at the club would kill me

Wigan rivalling us for SWP.
We've turned down the chance to have Bendtner as part of a swap deal for Cahill.
Still no news on Al habsi.
Liverpool rivalling us for Williams from Boro.
