I've heard numerous times, that we can't afford the '"classy" footballers. I'd generally agree. So why are we buying first/second division "classy" footballers, instead of some proper grafters, that might be less skilled, but much more difficult to beat?

It is coyle's fault that in a transfer window when said 5 million pound man was at the core of a briefly successful 451 formation but clearly had no one to cover him(except Vela who he hardly used) should he get injured coyle chooses not to pick up some grafting cover but instead signs a striker he refuses to pick and a left winger who ended up playing on the right and ultimately ran out of steam. Ream was a necessity but really having no cover for NRC and Moo was stupid. It's not asthough grafters are too pricy or impossible to find in the lower leagues.

Cahill's motivation is money, he was hardfaced enough to spend over a week haggling with Chelsea for better wages before he'd sign for them.

If Cahill had been offered the right money by Gartside and Davies he'd have signed an extension to his contract.
