I don't want to p*ss on anyone's chips but we need to play much better than that to have any chance of making the play off's

Yes we are on an excellent run and well done DF & the players, but we are using up all of our luck, we should not be hanging on like that at home against Brighton - it was like the fecking Alamo at times in the 2nd half.

I can't decide if that's what DF played for (i.e score and then shut up shop) or that Brighton were much better than us 2nd half but for me we need more attacking options than we currently have. Also, IMO he should have subbed CYL instead of Eagles and I quite like the the look of Medo he could be a decent player with a run of games.

We still however need a proper centre forward, as I still think we are lacking movement & pace upfront and a real threat in front of goal.

I'm pretty happy at the moment but I do agree with you on this. We play better when we don't sit back so much, and even if you can defend well like that, you still have to ride your luck at times. I guess you can't argue with the results but I would like us to be a bit more commanding in games, rather than just defending a lead.

A win is a win, yeah, but if we were a bit unlucky or they had a bit more luck, I don't think we'd have the 3 points right now.

Rather be lucky and win than play brilliantly and lose.

Chip pisser.

We're by no means the finished article, but we continue to show professionalism & get results despite still being a work in progress. The fact we've had a WDDWWWWW run & we're not even reaching our full potential has got to be a good thing.

Of course, but the better you play over a season, the more results you'll get. Luck isn't something you can bank upon.

It was interesting seeing an Interview were Dougie said he is looking to sign a couple of short term loan players for the end of season. I think that shows he knows the squad is a little short of the quality we need if we are to maintain the challenge we appear to of started.

Having said that the sign of a good team is one that wins and plays badly.

This all too stressful for a person my age - it's not good. I don't know what CH means by "bricking it" but I think I probably am too. I enjoyed our 4-1 win but since then my stress level has been far too high.

Luck? Jesus.

What we had today was character, will to win, and most crucially, the thing the Coyle apologists pretended didn't matter, organisation.

Everyone knew their roles and stuck to them.

Feck it, it was a great plan. Let Brighton play football but stop them 25 yards out from really hurting us. Play them higher up the pitch and they'd have picked their way through. They did that for the first 20 minutes.

Thank god we know have a manager who knows what he's doing.

There's some proper know nowt fcukers making out they know it all about

We defended very well today

Every ball into the box, I'm confident we'll deal with it

Makes me laugh, all this 'should've done this, should've done that, should've been more attacking'

Bullshit

But they can hide behind their half arsed 'theories' cos they'll never be put in a position where they'd be exposed as cockends

Agreed, but its frustrating when people are banging on about luck. The difference between us today and what we had at the start of the season is night and day. We have a proper system now, proper organisation, a manager who realises that sometimes you just have to be pragmatic and ride the game out with an extra centre back on. As nervy as that is to watch, it's a massive massive step in the right direction. Yet people are bemoaning it, when clearly it's what we should have been doing from the fecking start.

Agreed, Brighton were much better than our other recent opponents. I think Dougie knew this.
