Wycombe apparently moving Butcher on. That'll spark more discussion about Morley.

I will be absolutely stunned if we let Morley go. Stunned. He looks absolutely back to his best. I think he’s a much better player than Sheehan potentially and certainly worked very hard. I think he’s a more natural 6 and as Iles said also Sheehan worked hard Tuesday but did not look convincing by any standards.

And yet kept being given the ball, getting battered, winning a free kick and bouncing straight up to take it

Anyways - I doubt the new mon will be gettuing shut of Morley

Maybe just maybe we've got two good players there and we don't need to say one's shit to say the other's good

Aye, I thought Sheehan was the best of the three in there on Tuesday! Did all the things he apparently can't, and kept it ticking over

Morley been v good since he came back in, definitely suits playing at a higher tempo. Keep both for me.

Well that wasn’t the point I was making. If we are looking to the future we’d not want to lose Morley right now as he has a lot of potential and maybe offers flexibility in approach with his new found work off the ball.

Iles made the point that IF we play more like Darby set us up than Evatt did then Sheehan and Morley together probably won’t be ideal. But for now I don’t see us losing a midfield player I’d prefer us to keep what we’ve got.

Their endlessly inflating wage bill just keeps on growing.

Extremely unfortunate for Wrexham that they failed in their bid to cheat their way into Europe, but they will no-doubt be offsetting their wage expenditure next season against their new ground investment - so they will have no issues with the league even if they don't go up.

Plymouth just brought in two full international defenders to try and keep themselves in the Championship (on on loan, admittedly). League One is unlikely to be much easier to get out of next season.

Last year was the time. Previously mid table Pompey leapfrogged 9 or 10 from season before including us to go up. Derby were rag tag but did it. Oxford!

Been and gone now so doesn’t matter but it is still very frustrating. We only needed to be average really and couldn’t even do that.

Best if we get rid of Brum and Wrexham in the autos. Partly because I’d not want us to play Wrexham in a play off if we get there and also because if we don’t go up it will make promotion next year easier.

The corollary is of course if two going up from league one have significant pots of money the championship looks even harder to stay in for whoever else gets there.

Richie Wellens has taken the piss out of Ange in a post match interview, then been reminded that two of his best players are on loan from Spurs and had to put out an apology.

Delightful.

Another poor showing and another defeat for Peterborough. Like us, beaten in the play offs the last two years and having a difficult 3rd season but much worse.

Dastardly Darragh says Posh won't do any business today.

Their fans are, shall we say, miffed.

Give it a year and they will be protesting about him, trying to throw stuff at him, calling him corrupt and the worst club owner ever.

Give it ten years though and they will be clamouring for him to be PM.
