Alternatively, Keane fans may argue that the team got relegated because they didn't play him.hisroyalgingerness wrote:There must be a reason he was on the bench of a team whilst it got relegated?

Maybe he is worth the risk. If he is scoring regularly for ROI then maybe Coyle can convince him to do the same for us.

If we can get Keane playing up to the standard he was playing for Celtic then i would have him in the team 12 goals in 16 games i believe he got, he's always been a good player but just needs to be playing regularly and having a manager to believe in him!

In fact, leave me out against Rangers and I'll get 12 in 13

Keane would be an expensive mistake.
Whatever he was, he isn't now.

we have klasnic in all honestly id prefer us to play klasnic week in week out and hope he gets some more consistency / fitness rather than buy keane pay his crazy wages and hope he finds form
Klasnic>keane
i think we all underestimate how good klasnic actually is were allways thinking the grass is greener IT AINT
klasnic is one hell of a great goalscorer and his ability in and around the box is amasing some times his only weaknesses for me are the fact he doesent have much pace and hes not a big strong arcitypal british centre forward and that hes 80% of the time on the bench if we could only get him to be a regular instead of a bencher ^^

Yup. Keane isn't yesterday's man so much as last month's man. Once upon a time, but not now. He wouldn't sign for Spam because they baulked at his £80k pwk btw.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Still 20 mins more than Keane gave last season. Man has a point.

Re: TKIZ's impossibly brilliant all new Transfer Rumours thr
just to highlight what an utter load of desperate bollox is written...
keane "fits the criteria" - how so? - he is a striker and he might be available for sale????
are those the only criteria we are working with???
how about these..
1. wage-affordability
2. over-the-hillness
3. young players with pace and something to prove
4. resale value
5. absence of embarassing goal-celebrations that might come back to haunt us
does he still "fit the criteria"?
bolton are in the market for a striker. After Johan Elmander’s departure to Turkish side Galatasaray, Trotters manager Owen Coyle is looking to reinforce his side with a new striker. Keane fits the criteria as Spurs are prepared to sell the striker and he is deemed surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane.

You know damned well bish that criterias are set by expert football journalists, not managers or fans. Where Bolton are concerned Louise Taylor and co are impeachable sources. Ahem..
Si Deus pro nobis, quis contra nos?
Re: TKIZ's impossibly brilliant all new Transfer Rumours thr
Alan Nixon on the Dingles site said something a bit cryptic on the Keane rumour. He mentioned it because Rovers have also been linked with Keane.
Don't know what he meant by this statement but it doesn't sound like we are in advanced negotiations to me. Perhaps just a name mentioned in a conversation and Spurs are trying to drum up a bit of interest.KEANE...Spurs have leaked a Bolton interest which is not strictly correct...possibly a good sign...they want to sell
Do not trust atoms. They make up everything.

According to some Italian websites we've bid 5.5million euros for Djibril Cissè..

Blimey! I didn't realise he was even still playing - but he's only 29 - and in the last 2 seasons he has scored 47 in 60 games...newcarsmell wrote:According to some Italian websites we've bid 5.5million euros for Djibril Cissè..

Didn't he reject us once and insinuate he'd never join a shit club like Bolton? (not a direct quote
)

here's a translation (of sorts!)
It has not yet spoken with the entourage of the player, but the Bolton seems to want to do seriously. It is the greek press to give notice in the morning: the english club wants to bring Cisse in the Premier League. For now, it is only an offer made to Panathinaikos, with the possibility to speak with the agent. The idea Cisse was born the leadership of Bolton with the need to replace Elmander. THE bid submitted Panathinaikos is around 5.5 million euro.
