It's not the players that need training. It's the still wet behind the ears 4ckwit in charge that needs showing what to do.Spearing wrote:We’ll be straight back in training on Sunday trying to put things right.
Businesswoman of the year.
Re: Freedman out!
Yes we've seen what freedman's training does to players. To be fair what else can he say? It's all meaningless, all that matters are the results in the next few games.CrazyHorse wrote:It's not the players that need training. Re: Freedman out!
I don't think you can have results like yesterday just because the tactics are wrong or because the players aren't good enough. A result as shockingly bad as that and the reports of players looking uninterested is probably a confirmation of what has been rumoured on here for a while, that Freedman has lost the players. I don't think they're willing to try hard for him, whether it's because they are sick of him as a person or they don't think he knows what he's doing. I don't think you can blame them for losing home, considering how poor the season has been.
I'm wondering if the apologists have any more excuses though? We've had 'Dougie is failing because it's a Coyle squad', 'Dougie needs a transfer window', 'Dougie needs time for the players to adapt', 'Dougie needs a pre-season', 'Dougie needs to bring through youth players', 'Dougie needs to be allowed to bring in the experience he wants'. What is it now? I assume they'll continue to pass the blame onto someone else, continuing to bury their heads in the sand whilst ignoring the appallingly bad tactics we've seen on display since he joined us. Aside from BWFC Insane, who thinks Freedman will be a better manager than Allardyce, surely the only person who wants to keep Freedman is Coyle? Because with every game under Freedman, Coyle looks more and more like a misunderstood genius.
Sadly, the news of Freedman's sacking hasn't been released yet. Hopefully it will tomorrow. Imagine if he'd gone months ago and we had brought in someone like Steve McClaren or Tony Pulis?

Re: Freedman out!
Here's a question - something I've been thinking about. It's pretty much impossible, I feel, for Spearing to have metamorphosised from all-action dynamo to midfield makeweight - something must have happened, something's changed, and the thought that won't leave my head is that when Spearing was pulling up trees last season and had the majority of us clamouring for him a permanent move he was playing in front of Craig Dawson.SmokinFrazier wrote:I think Spearing was a very good signing. He's struggling at the moment but I'm a fan of his and I'm sure he'll perform much better next year. I think a few players, Spearing included, have become disillusioned, which makes their form worse and contributes to our problems.
He's a good player though and I'm glad we have him. He'll be back to his best soon, hopefully.
Coincidence?

Strange, he doesn't look like Dave or Gideon so why is he paraphrasing?

Re: Freedman out!
I've never understood this 'dragging them in on their day off' after a gubbing. What does it prove? What does it solve? I'd have sent them home and said "Right, on Monday morning I want a presentation off of each of you describing what you think went wrong collectively and what you as an individual could have done better?".LeverEnd wrote:Yes we've seen what freedman's training does to players. I'm fecking sick of hearing Freedman and his know-all attitude.
Doing squats and playing two-touch at Euxton will do absolutely nothing to address some seriously deep-rooted problems.

Spearing was poor last season early doors. Before Dawson was here....so probably not a coincidence.Bruce Rioja wrote:Here's a question - something I've been thinking about. Mind that applies to several. End of the day Dawson is a quality defender for this level. Quality players make a difference......

I'd bet that if SKD was still here this wouldn't have happened

Re: Freedman out!
That's a good point and it's true that Spearing's best form was when we had Dawson, though I'm not sure why he had such an influence. Spearing hasn't passed the ball as well this year, for example, and those sort of things obviously wouldn't make a difference whether it's Knight, Dawson or Vincent Kompany in defence. Maybe it's because Dawson just made the team more confident, which then improved performances? I'm not sure, honestly.Bruce Rioja wrote:Here's a question - something I've been thinking about. I'd also mention that a few other players, in particular N'Gog, played better when Dawson was here, and it's not like the central defenders make a real difference to how the strikers perform. I don't think it's a coincidence that it happened though, I'm just not sure why and how Dawson had such an impact. He wasn't just a good player, he brought confidence to the team and raised performances.
Spearing has just been flat all season, which is a shame to see. We have had issues with Mears and Craig Davies, Eagles was rumoured to be annoyed at the management, and I'm sure others are struggling for motivation right now, so maybe that's the explanation with Spearing? I'm not sure but things obviously have to change. If we can't bring back Dawson to get the best out of the players we have, we need a manager who can.

Re: Freedman out!
I just think that he and backroom team have brought a negativity to the club and it's got to the players. He seems to think everything should be clinical and stifles any momentum as soon as it starts to build. It's hard to know what's wrong but it's awful to watch, unsuccessful and should result in a series of sackings.

granted, it makes no reference to that second wave of turkish terrorist hacker's bad spelling. which is the high watermark of in-jokes on here, but whatever.
