He was summat like 2nd top in assists. Tallest dwarf etc, but he still gets on the team sheet before a few for me.officer_dibble wrote:What was his return last season? 1 goal and a few assists?

Doesn't exactly sound promising. Basically we're at the mercy of other clubs giving us a loan is how it reads to me.

We will .... & maybe should ... wait until.the Premiership clubs decade their 25 man squads. There willbesomegood players surplus & available for loan.
I feel sorry for DF ... It not being his squad of players he's managing.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

can we not now call in the chelsea loan we were allegedly promised??? they're loaning out players willy and (indeed) nilly!
Re: Abdoulaye's going t'Souk transfer thread
"Shortly after his release from Bolton, he explained that he was disappointed at aspects of his departure"
Wonder which aspects, wonder if it coinciding with Owen being out of work was one.
"I can do that. Gis a job!"

Doesn't exist anymore according to Marc Iles....it was a personal promise to Owen Coyle apparently.....thebish wrote:can we not now call in the chelsea loan we were allegedly promised??? they're loaning out players willy and (indeed) nilly!

Re: Abdoulaye's going t'Souk transfer thread
DF said at the Fans Forum last season that it was still an option and still an agreement that we could use. But maintained that at the time, they sent DF a list of players to choose from, but none of them tickled his fancy.
So either Iles, freedman (or both) are full of shit

Re: Abdoulaye's going t'Souk transfer thread
He was pretty sketchy about it at the fans forum. It sounded like "I think there might be an agreement" rather than a definitive statement. He started out by saying "I've heard there is something like that".boltonboris wrote:DF said at the Fans Forum last season that it was still an option and still an agreement that we could use. But I presume Iles information comes from Freedman. Perhaps the possibility was checked out and Chelsea are saying no. If it wasn't written down in contract form at the time then it is pretty irrelevant either way.

Ask Nixon, he'll know.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

It's bllx anyway. Any team can approach any other and make an enquiry. Even if someone did say "we owe you one" ... &, as said, that was most likely said to Coyle, it's not like we'd have pick of the squad.

Well it could be written down as a contract. But as you say Chelsea would always reserve the right to say "no" to any particular player.bobo the clown wrote:It's bllx anyway. hmmmm... last week, Nixon was writing this..Riviman wrote:Heard on the qt that a bid for Danny Graham being lined up .
his record...Sunderland are pushing Danny Graham towards the exit.
The striker, 28, is having to play for the Black Cats' under-21 side as boss Gus Poyet tries to find a buyer for him.
Former club Middlesbrough and Championship rivals Leeds both want to take Graham on loan, but with Sunderland picking up a big chunk of his £30,000-a-week wages.
Graham scored six times in 18 appearances on loan at Boro in the second half of last season, after an earlier unsuccessful spell at Hull.
Poyet, however, wants a permanent deal and hopes to find a home for the former Watford and Swansea hitman, who is not in his plans despite his own lack of summer signings.
29 goals in 89 appearances at carlisle (2007-9)
38 goals in 91 appearances at Watford (2009-11)
15 goals in 54 appearances at Swansea (2011-13)
1 in 18 at Hull (2013-14)
6 in 18 at Boro (2014)
on the face of it - not a bad record at this level...

Hope so. Always rated him despite his loss of form a year or so back. Picked back up at Boro on loan last season.
Would fit nicely with someone like Mason.

The person 'boro shipped in as they released the Juke. Interesting juxtaposition.

Re: Abdoulaye's going t'Souk transfer thread
I've been missing, AWOL, for a week.
Have we got the three strikers yet?
If not we've only got four days left before Armageddon
( ^ slight exaggeration there, but Dougie did say:
"I have a good idea what I need to strengthen before the start of the season… we need strikers…”
“I’m still trying to add three attacking options to the squad … and then I think we’ll be okay”
which kind of hints that without the three we won't be okay...)

Is there anything between Okay and Armageddon?
