No we haven't, but whats sauce for goose is sauce for the gander. The manager ultimately has to succeed without him.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Personally, I don't subscribe to all of the hype around Stuey. He's played a limited number of matches, been ok in some, gone missing in others. He isn't the messiah some seem to make out. Claim the insurance and terminate if that's possible. I'd take Spearing over the Yank any day of the week. That might sound harsh, but its just business.
As for the second part, disagree. Holden at his best would stroll into our midfield as it stands with consumate ease. At his best he was far superior to Spearing. Far superior.
Whether we were ever going to see him at his best may well remain an unknown.
Could make it worse though?

I wonder if we have a curse on central midfield players at Bolton?
Sean Davis, Stu Holden, Mark Davies, Fabrice Muamba, Keith Andrews. All had serious injuries or career ending illness in the past few seasons with us. Some have had more than one episode.

No you can't. If it's half gone or conpletely gone it'll need replacing. He could do what the hell he wants on it and it won't affect management or outcomeplymouth wanderer wrote:BWFC_Insane wrote:Wheater played on for 10 minutes with his. It doesn't mean much. Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
ON another note, if Hoden "agreed" a contract extension in principle, but not yet signed on the dotted line, and this injury sidelines him for an extended time, is he on our wage bill for the season?
Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
He had to play matches at some point. I think after this latest setback he's going to play few if any matches for the rest of his career but don't see why it matters if he did it playing for the USA or for us against Macc Town. I hope I'm wrong in my pessimism.
...
Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
If he did sign the contract then would we get some compensation from the US FA? If he didn't and this was talked about earlier in this thread, would Stu get any compensation at all?LeverEnd wrote:He had to play matches at some point. I don't think it is.Lord Kangana wrote:Its a very fair point.
It was an absolute no-brainer to let him go and play competetive football.

And that aside I don't think there is any mechanism by which Dougie could have stopped him for playing for his national side in what is their equivalent of our European Championships.boltonboris wrote:I don't think it is.Lord Kangana wrote:Its a very fair point.
