Al Habsi for 4M will be a good deal for us IMO. Raise some much needed funds as well as letting him progress his career.

Agree.

Let's hope we don't waste the incoming funds on Keane

The indie band?

Rather buy them than Robbie Keane, fck me surely we can do better with our money than that.

When was Al Habsi's last game for us? 4M can't be bad business for a player who hasn't featured in what, 2 seasons?

SSN reporting Reo Coker to WBA - be disappointed if we weren't in there for him

Nice article about "Pratley put through his paces". He actually seems to be leading the drill.

I agree with LL about Reo Coker. He's one I like. If we had got rid of Savis I'd be keen on him more.

No-one will come in for Seavs, and he's unlikel to altruistically cancel his contract. Would still like Reo Coker though.

the rodders rumours keep on a-rumblin'
talksport (yes, I know!) wrote:Bolton's hopes of signing last season's loan star Rodrigo on a permanent deal have been boosted after Benfica gave him the cold shoulder.

The forward impressed Owen Coyle enough last season - despite scoring just a single goal from 17 Premier League appearances - to encourage the Trotters boss to try to extend his stay.

The 20-year-old's agent and father Adalberto Machado admitted that a lack of contact with the Portuguese club has left his son's future uncertain: "I know you want news but there is not much happening on this topic.

"Everything will depend on Benfica. Now Rodrigo is focused on playing at the Under-20 World Cup with Spain.

"The Benfica coach Jorge Jesus has not talked to us about his future so everything is guesswork. The best thing for all parties would be a quick fix."

I'd say they've been set back. Coyle wanted him before the u20 champs like he wanted Alacantara too.

How do you know he won't get him before the U20 world cup?

Yeah thats his name. But he wouldn't have to talk to Rodrigo would he? All that would have to happen is that we agree a deal with Benfica and then he'd be told by their Club Presidente or whatever "You can talk to Bolton".

And the fact the Benfica coach hasn't made any contact with him suggests he's not in their plans. Which is why they say "boosted".
