Re: Bolton v Blue Moonies
Muamba was under enormous pressure from a high-class midfield and strikers. He won't get that outside of the top four. His commitment is total and I didn't see much wrong he did today. Make some allowance for the opposition being bought top-class mercenaries. Did you comment on his goal last week or does that not count?Peter Thompson wrote: You must have watched a different game....I expected to lose today but the worst 3 players in white shirts IMO where Muamba, Knight and our 'so called' goalkeeper who is an absolute liability.

Re: Bolton v Blue Moonies
It's disapointing to have City's £100mil attack turn up and then gift them goals, but shit happens. It was more disapointing that we created next to nothing, and only ever looked like creating anything for a brief period when Mark Davies came on.
I know, I know, we've got 6 in 2, but I think the fact that we're scoring just about every chance we make is papering over the cracks a bit. We were very poor for periods today where we had six defenders and four attackers, with nothing in between. It's not playing to the strengths of Davies and especially Klasnic to have them coming deep to try and get involved. City are a good side, but it was the same against QPR until they fell apart.
On the positive side though, Davies and Cahill were excellent.
Reo-Coker our best signing since Anelka? Really?

The neutral fan clearly can read a game of football better than a lot on here.Lord Kangana wrote:I don't think he was after convincing you. In fact I'm pretty sure he doesn't give a flying f*ck about you. But if you really need me to explain it then I will.

I hope this goes some way to alleviating any fears you may have of Utd fans taking over your mind.
Muamba played well in difficult circumstances, pass completion of 68% which is not too bad and he worked hard to press City. Against lesser sides, I think he will make well for Pratley or Mark Davies!

Zat did play well y'know. It says a lot that we kept their attacking threat quiet by and large. But he is still a mistake-a-game player, and his mistakes invariably, like today cost goals

On a side note, those 188Bet girls......a couple I would have.
Re: Bolton v Blue Moonies
The problem with Knight is, too much of his defending is last ditch.

Are you suggesting we move him to midfield?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Ultimately a defenders job is to prevent goals. If you make a howler and gift the opposition a goal as a centre half, then you in no way have had a good game, irrespective of owt else!hisroyalgingerness wrote:Zat did play well y'know. Err - there's an argument that the back line was stepping up for an offside.BWFC_Insane wrote:Ultimately a defenders job is to prevent goals. Only someone didn't.
And it wasn't Knight.

But it's still bollocks, Knight made a complete meal of trying to clear the ball as usual then was too slow to get back into a position to stop Dzeko!

I really don't understand why everyone's picking.
And yes, Paul robinson was out of position.
But City players also made mistakes. And they're worth £10000000000000000000000000000m more than ours. And beat us by a goal.
