Seriously STFU and concentrate on how to win if we're playing so well, as i dread to think what scores will be when we're NOT playing so well away from home.
Coyle uses "injustices" to spout utter bollocks to deflect any criticism from himself. What was clear from the fans forum was that under no circumstances is he prepared to shoulder any blame or take any criticism. He visually bristled at the two questions that hinted that he might have something to do with the poor results last season.
hang on... I thought you'd lost interest??
isn't there some masterchef stuff you could be getting on with?

Ha ha. You know it coming toward the end game when the manager starts to get votes of confidence.....or is it the beginning of the end or middle of the end of the end?TANGODANCER wrote:Despite BWFCi's rumours to the contrary, Chris Eagles claims the lads are right behind Coyle?

I don't really mind McCarthy. I think he's a solid enough choice and a million times better than Phil Brown.BWFC_Insane wrote:There is a big problem here. Coyle when we brought him in was "someone young" with no failure on his track record.SmokinFrazier wrote:Going for a manager like Phil Brown would be accepting mediocrity. We want change and Brown is no better than Coyle. If you want to sit in the Championship for the next 10 years and endure the same poor form we have right now, that's fine. If you want us to go back to the Premier League, we need someone far better than Coyle. Brown isn't "far better", and in fact, I don't even think he's a better manager at all.
Go for someone young or someone experienced but not an experienced failure. Someone like Curbishly.
He is now, one heck of a big failure.
Managers will ALL have plusses and minuses on their CV, unless they are Mourinho or Alex Ferguson....
I'm not sure we will have a great pick. We all WANT a manager who can be here in 5 years and have progressed the club back up to the premiership and kept us there and be developing the club all around.
Its not necessarily the case that said person is out there, or available or interested.
I will settle for someone who can organise us, sort out any issues behind the scenes, bring the group together and start to make this squad look half as good as it should in this division.
If that someone is Phil Brown then fine. He'd not be top of my list, or even halfway down it, but too many people are just looking at a managers promotion and relegation record and making a call.
Its nonsense. We need the right sort of fit, that will get the club moving forwards again. For me, someone like Mick McCarthy could do that. He's no visionary or genius, but he is straightforward, tough, and pragmatic and has a real presence. It may be a short term fix, but I fear thanks to dithering last season, that is where we are at.
McCarthy fits into what I said about experience. Not a great manager but capable of promotion. Phil Brown isn't, he's just a 'anyone but Coyle' type replacement, which we shouldn't accept. If we want to improve, we need a better manager than Coyle and Brown isn't.
McCarthy wouldn't be my first choice but he wouldn't be my last either.

1972 if you don't mind, turned 40 a couple of months ago.
For my second and third attempts (and gold medal winning entry) I'm guessing TangoDancer is 1939and Zulus is 1879.

4/1 Alan Curbishley
8/1 Rafa Benitez
8/1 Steve Bruce
12/1 Lee Clarke
14/1 Dave Jones
Re: If Coyle gets the sack
I have always liked Billy Davies in the championship, but not as much in the Premiership.
Di Canio seems a popular choice and I for one would welcome him at the helm, It seems to me that we should also be voting on a new chairman as Gartside is as inept off the field as Coyle is on the training ground.
Two other names mentioned are Bob Bradley and Ray Wilkins???
What the hell is going through Eddie Davies mind?

Bruce, Clarke and Jones have not long since joined the clubs they are at.
I'd have Steve Bruce in a shot like. Yes he's been a spend heavy manager, but still think he's done as much as anyone based around managing a club similar to ourselves in Wigan. And picked the likes of Valencia up for them IIRC.

I'd rather get one of my toes lobbed off and forced through my nose (my feet smell), than see that fascist , detestable, player punching bastard anywhere near the club I support.. That could actually trigger the end of my life as a BWFC match goer

Phil Brown has his say. I agree with a lot he says here, apart from the "wait till 10 games have gone" stuff obviously.
The rest pretty much nails it.

Based on that I'd have him shot the second he set foot on the car park!BWFC_Insane wrote:http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/wa ... ays_Brown/
