Holey-moley, what a Frankenstein starting eleven that was. If the last few weeks were all about seeing what he's got to work then I guess since we've gone unbeaten then it won't seem too bad in the grand scheme of things. It's to be hoped he's got a wise old bird whispering in his ear when he's got it wrong - something Coyle didn't appear to have.

I'm contempt with picking up a couple more draws maybe the odd win until the window opens and then get what we need and push on and make a real fight in the second half of the season!

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Yet we still got a point. Fair enough, by all acounts we didn't deserve it, but what, would you rather us have lost?BL3 wrote:No surprise to see the usual suspects blaming the players again whilst conveniently ignoring the real culprit. I suppose that way you could drone on for a bit longer about how shit Dougie is (after 5 unbeaten games).

Bijou Bob wrote:I for one don't understand all this angst. New manager takes over poor team who are already looking at another relegation and ensures we dont lose the next 5 matches. 2 draws away from home and a point at home against the top of the league is far from a poor return in my book.
Let's have some honesty here:
1. We will not be promoted this year barring a minor miracle
2. We have a poor squad of over paid / unhungry players
3. We can't score
4. We can't keep a clean sheet
Given what the bloke is working with, Dougie deserves some credit and our support until we suffer sequential defeats that see us sliding back down the table. I confidently predict that won't happen. At the very least he should get a 100% backing until the end of the season once he has seen a transfer window come and go and his style of play, training methods and new players have been fully integrated.
Now get a f****** grip.

Funnily enough the manager doesn't seem to share the experts assessment of the players on here.
'This is a good group who want to do well'. Unsurprisingly given that they dug him out of a hole today.
'We can't blame the players for the position i put them in'. Never a truer word spoken Dougie.

About 4 or 5 games into BSA's reign, I remember us being a goal down at Cambridge in the cup and Allardyce making what was seen as an odd substitution. Cue chants of "you dont know what you're doing".BWFC_Insane wrote:But I believe we will. I'm not worried about strange selections. It's very similar to when Allardyce first came and he started scratching around for teams with mixed results.
We finished up winning the game 3-1 and the rest as they say..

Seriously? How about get behind the team a bit more? You moan constantly and it winds me up. But that's probably why you're on here.BL3 wrote:Grow up.89bwfc89 wrote:Yet we still got a point. Fair enough, by all acounts we didn't deserve it, but what, would you rather us have lost?
Why do you even bother supporting the Whites? I imagine you're one of the feckers that boos. Every game. In fact, there was a complete negative idiot that I had to move away from at the match the other week because he was moaning constantly about everything. I bet that was you.

When Coyle was sacked was it because the team he had built was 5hite, or was it because he couldn't organise them, or was he just really really unlucky

Why under a manager you constantly defended did we end up 18th in the championship?
Either Coyle was shite or he didn't have the players?
About time you answered this question....
Re: Sussex by the sea!
Haha ok, manager then. He's one of the team in my eyes but you carry on being pedantic.BL3 wrote:I don't remember criticising the team.89bwfc89 wrote:Seriously? Re: Sussex by the sea!
Seems so. He admitted it wasn't working so he changed it. Why he picked that team in the first place however, remains a mystery. Radio Mancs weren't brave enough to ask him.bobo the clown wrote:Blimey.BL3 wrote:'We can't blame the players for the position i put them in'. Never a truer word spoken Dougie.

No. No we haven't. Had we scrapped a point I'd have been delighted. We didn't scrap anything today. We were well and truly hammered from start to finish. We fluked a point. "Be lucky" is no team talk.BWFC_Insane wrote: But we've scrapped a point.

No it isn't. It's about pushing for promotion. And we're not.BWFC_Insane wrote:It's about putting the fight and spirit back in which I feel is slowly happening.
You say you're giving him a year. That's pointless and you're burying your head in the sand.
A year from now we could be in any one of three divisions.
So if it's ok with you, I'm judging him game by game and on todays game I'm judging him as being a dickhead.
