A shout-out to Danns – I thought he was great today. And it's wonderful to see the confidence surging through Pratley! Vela also did very well.

Yeah thought dannsy was immense as was pratters! Feeney was a passenger for most part IMO. No wonder danns was bollocking him.

Good result, maybe.
I might be getting old or maybe cynical but being battered for 70 odd minutes and coming away from Anfield with an heroic draw don't cut it for me now. I guess maybe it's because it is not that long ago we used to go to these places with a realistic chance of turning the buggers over.
Just another game to get in the way and if we get thrashed it might damage moral.

I think you are just trying to be controversial

Do you really think this group of players under Duggie would have done as well?

In the context of this season, it's a great result. In fact it is a great result, end of.

How long ago was that? For the last 10 years or so in the Premier League we'd just get turned over time and again. We'd get dominated and it became boring because each year we knew what would happen.

Our last few results at their ground have been:

DREW 0-0
LOST 3-1
LOST 2-1
LOST 2-0
LOST 3-0
LOST 4-0
LOST 3-0
LOST 1-0
LOST 3-1

Last night's result is our best at Anfield for years. If that doesn't cut it ... I don't know what would.

Second 45 was a rear-guard action certainly (though we had a couple of chances ourselves). I thought we matched then first half in an end-to-end slightly terrifying game.

Given their player outlay, Hoboh, and our injury tally and lack of funds, little surprise that playing away at Anfield was never going to be an easy task. It cut it okay for me because, despite all their advantages, they didn't beat us. What were you expecting...really?

In 93 I missed going to the replay due to work commitments. This year I'll miss the replay, again due to work commitments. An omen, I think. ;)

Watched this in an Arsenal pub and the Gunners were cheering us on apart from the odd one or two. Three scouse supporters we spoke to afterwards thought there should have been a sending off and none could understand why Stevie should have been sitting watching the game instead of playing. On a slight drift, one was from South Africa, one from Russia and the other from Hull. Almost sounds like there should be a ManU joke in there somewhere. Good game but the return could give the Trotters the advantage if we can find the net. 8)
