Buyers details not revealed. Hopefully not a Ken invention. However, one assumes that even Ken wouldn't deliberately misrepresent his position to a court? Would he?Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 12:01 pmSee you all in two weeks then?
Seriously though: get this shit done.
Hopefully we will learn more this afternoon now that legal details are in a more public space.

It's a court. It's not a freedom of information request. There may not be an actual buyer. The judge is covering his own arse.

" "Ahead of today's court hearing of the HMRC petition, the BWFCST would hope that all parties will show tolerance and understanding in preserving the existence of our club for the benefit of the supporters, the club employees and the greater Bolton community.
"Whilst fully understanding the confidences and complexities of the detailed negotiations involved in concluding a sale of the club, we would hope that, on behalf of the supporters and the community, as much clarity as possible can be given to all interested parties as these negotiations proceed.

It is a winding up hearing. We are past the stage (or I thought we were) where Ken's vague "couple of interested parties" would suffice.Lost Leopard Spot wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 12:04 pmIt's a court. What he's submitted to the court does not necessarily become public record does it?bristol_Wanderer3 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 12:11 pmIt is a winding up hearing. There were witnesses from Walker Morris present to confirm what our owner has said.bristol_Wanderer3 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 12:11 pmIt is a winding up hearing. Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )
So this adjournment lasts past the '12pts this season' watershed (Mar 28) and the new wage payment (Apr 1, fittingly). (Also, possibly interestingly (but possibly not), into a new tax year.)
I wonder which side this benefits most. I fear it's Ken.
But obviously I'm very glad we still have a club.

Google them! Solicitors with experience in the field. They will have instructed the QC on Ken’s behalf.

Here is an anecdote from a good friend of mine. She represented the 'victims' of the atomic bombs tests in the Pacific against both the British and Australian governments.Lost Leopard Spot wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 12:19 pmWell clearly it did suffice.bristol_Wanderer3 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 12:11 pmIt is a winding up hearing. At one stage the judge was about to rule and she requested an adjournment. Judge said only if she had new evidence. She handed over an envelope which the judge opened. It contained a blank sheet of paper. The judge granted her a two month adjournment. She went on to win the case.

Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )
More from Super White Smurf, who was at court:
"KA agreed heads of terms with another buyer. Given 14 days to conclude sale. Buyer has a major stake in another football club. Hillary Frost: Club witness statement says that buyer ‘intends to capitalise the club with funds’. No other detail given."
"Update. Hillary’s witness statement “Buyer intends to capitalise the respondent with new funds to pay debts IN FULL”. ie paid up by time case is next in court on 03 April."
"HMRC now has five supporting creditors attached, two in court. For those interested two of the supporting creditors on the HMRC petition are Macron, owed £294k & Westchurch Home’s Ltd, owed £18.5k. The other three weren’t announced in court."
"Final thought. Staff wages are due in 9 days. I can only hope that Ken gets something organised so they are paid on time. Otherwise the hunt is on to find out about this new mystery bidder. Two weeks to do DD, agree a sale and pay the debts. Some ppl will be burning midnight oil"
