Re: No time to make crap puns - Bolton v Newcastle, 26 Dec
Newcastle are a better side than us and haven't really spent any more on players than we have. They completely bossed the game, won every tackle, header and 50 50 challenge. They have quality in their side like Ben Arfa that can just put a ball in the net whereas we have one person who doesn't have the touch of a rapist in Mark Davies. Everyone else has no ability or kind of skill to control a ball. They're fecking shit the lot of them, fecking no ability players.
Re: No time to make crap puns - Bolton v Newcastle, 26 Dec
I'm never sure what that means, because in those comparisons you'd stick with what you had unless there was an obvious improvement, so equally they'd say only Cahill and one of the strikers (ours were both shit, but Leon Best is especially wank) would get in. If we had everyone fit Lee as well. Maybe Holden, though their middle two are good. I don't think there is much between the personnel, though I would say theirs edge it. Not enough to explain the difference in the league table.truewhite15 wrote:The only two players from yesterday's Newcastle side that I can honestly say that, at the top of their form, would oust our players are Ba and Williamson. Possibly Ryan Taylor, on the presumption that Robbo and not Ricketts is our first choice left back. The difference between the two of us is in managerial and tactical aspects. They were organised and well drilled. We are not.

That, frankly, is bollocks. They didn't boss the game. They bossed the last twenty minutes, but fecking Chorley could've done that!

Any logic to support this would be excellent.BwfcDan wrote:Alan Pardew is no better than Owen Coyle.BWFC_Insane wrote:Pardew has done everything at Newcastle that Coyle couldn't. Namely organise a team, a back four and create a spirit and determination about them.
They're players aren't considerably better than ours.
But their manager is!

We were barely out of our own half in the first half, I know this because I had a bloody stiff neck looking to the right hand side throughout the fecking game! Physically their players are a lot bigger than ours and we lost out on everything.Prufrock wrote:Gail Platz wrote:Newcastle are a better side than us and haven't really spent any more on players than we have. They were dominant for the first half hour too. Had they scored in that period it would have been just as bad as any of our other home performances.Prufrock wrote:Gail Platz wrote:Newcastle are a better side than us and haven't really spent any more on players than we have. As it is we somehow stayed in the game then our manager decided to hand them the points...
Newcastle had 11 attempts we had 4.
5 of theirs on target to our 1.
Who was the home side again?

we were. that was part of the plan for you to cut up your season ticket in dramatic fashion - remember?BWFC_Insane wrote:

I'd take more of their players than ours, especially right through the spine of the team, but the point is they are a team who can defend despite having Ryan Taylor and Simpson at full back, who are pretty poor individually if you look at their careers to this point.
They didn't really create too many chances (Leon Best header from another poorly defended corner - Boyata!) but then this was a team with 2 points from 6 after all.
Every chance it would've petered out to a dull 0-0 had we not given them chances for two goals from the change of possession, that's the criminal thing about it. Fair play to them for being so clinical, 2-0 away from two situations like that is managerial wet-dream stuff.

Ok so the only player we had left on the pitch or bench who can tackle, has half a brain, got a bit of pace and don't lumber around and could sit as a DM alongside Coco shouldn't be pushed up in front of the back four because know nowt sorry know it all grumpy old git thinks better!!! And you think you know footballCAPSLOCK wrote:See, Coyle isn't the worst boss we could haveHoboh wrote:If Moo had to go off through injury Coyle the prick could have kept it tight by pushing Cahill up into midfield and brought Wheater on then swapped Eagles for one of the front two but he didn't and he's a prick and we are now as good as down!

Can you imagine the reaction if he'd broken up the backline for Cahill to make his career-debut in midfield and we'd lost, the sub he actually made would've been asked for

So Cahill's a shit player then? So in training they never play in other other position to cover all senarios? Red nose has moved players, BSA has and others yet at Bolton because a few fans might get upset we don't?Athers wrote:Can you imagine the reaction if he'd broken up the backline for Cahill to make his career-debut in midfield and we'd lost, the sub he actually made would've been asked for
And you wonder why we are in trouble!

Tuncay was what was needed yesterday to give us some flair and a chance at unlocking their defense.

Tuncay has shown feck all in his appearances thus far that hint that he's got any of these mythical skills people think he has. From what I've seen, his first touch is horrible, and then he runs around like a headless chicken.Holden midfielder wrote:Tuncay was what was needed yesterday to give us some flair and a chance at unlocking their defense.

Give him a chance and play him off the striker in the hole. He can do all the running for our classic #9 or run onto the flick ons.

Id like to believe Tuncay could be the next mesiah but have a feeling the only thing he has in in common with christ is the pony tail.He hasnt gained the confidence of his managers for the last 3 seasons and I seem to remember his last club were happy to let him go because he wasnt suited to a team fighting relegation. I think the phrase flatters to deceive may unfortunately have been invented for him.

Sadly, compared with our skipper at the moment that's one thing the same and one better.truewhite15 wrote:Tuncay has shown feck all in his appearances thus far that hint that he's got any of these mythical skills people think he has.
