Re: away to birmingham
As BWFCI's post above - this is worse than the megson era. And paradoxically, reading that last statement back to myself actually makes it worse still!BWFC_Insane wrote:Thats fair enough, though rationally I'm not sure how being in and around the bottom 6 in the premiership at 1ppg can be worse than 15th in the championship at approx 1 ppg.Wandering Willy wrote:No, no it's not.BWFC_Insane wrote:
Its worse. We're a division lower, with less crowds and the general feel rather than one of indignation, is of weariness and complete and utter disillusionment with the situation to the point of almost not caring.
Not for me anyway.
This feels worse because I always felt if Megson went we could attract someone with at least some potential to keep us up.
Now, I fear that when Coyle goes, whilst we would be almost certain to find an improvement of some kind, I don't see how we will get a long term solution. When Megson left we were one win off 11th, and I suspect a relatively decent proposition for an incoming manager of some ability.
Now, we're bottom half of the championship and looking like a club sinking fast. Can't be that appealing for people without a point to prove, not IMO.

Sooner rather than later, hopefully.
The parachute payments are good news for uncle Eddie, but it's looking like we're not more than a mid-table side and if he loses interest we might be watching non-league football soon enough. I know it's early days but I doubt even the most negative of us thought it'd be this poor.

Well put DSB.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Just seen the goals on SSN. Marlon King crumples in the vicinity of Alonso, then rolls around holding his shoulder as if it's broken. Stands up and scores the penalty then invites his team-mates to jump on same shoulder. What a fascinatingly horrible c*nt.

Aye never a penalty.Watched the club "extended highlights" now there is a misnomer! No idea why eagles was playing left back for their first goal.Wandering Willy wrote:Well put DSB.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Just seen the goals on SSN. This 'time to go' stuff is a load of pish. It is a long, long way away, now, from being 'time to go'.

If I recall that was a little more personal than a harmless wind -up. I'm quite capable of losing my rag when needed. I also took the ban for the pleasure. It was worth it. Thanks for your observation.jaffka wrote:bollox what about that time when you stormed off and resigned as being a modTANGODANCER wrote:Mission impossible.officer_dibble wrote:He was only trying to wind up tango

To be fair, I've been more with you on this than TD.Wandering Willy wrote:Not at all. Tango and I just have differing views on the lad.officer_dibble wrote:He was only trying to wind up tango
Indeed, TD's frequentinanitiesobservations about KD don't wind me up either.
However, you have to accept that KD has scored some goals, this season and at times for me led the line well.
Based on what we've seen of the other strikers, for me, he's earned his place more than the rest this season at least.....
