That doesn't look like the Wilkinson from last season's pictures. The poser haircut has gone and he seems a bit more solid looking. (OK, he's stood next to Spearing so it could be an optical illusion).

↑↑↑ a very conservative look. Has he been Dougied ?
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I think it's the shirt tucked into the kecks tbh. .... & the apparent lack of joy, I'm assuming, after scoring.

Those shorts are dangerously close to being pulled up to Mark Seagraves heights.
What a hero, What a man...... Ooooh, what a bad foul...

wilkinson is certainly playing it cool there! "yeah, guys, like, I scored a goal, like, but it's no biggie..."malcd1 wrote:The two goals.

This Wilkinson lad, given our striker shortage, could he be an option?
I mean I can see that Clough physically might not be ready and doesn't seem to fit into the system Dougie wants, nor is he particularly the target man we need.
Wilkinson is at least tall and might have a chance? I haven't ever seen him play!

So, a full-back cum winger should be played at centre forward because he's taller than Spearing.
mmmm ... let's think that one through.

Think away all you like. Only Wilkinson is a striker.bobo the clown wrote:So, a full-back cum winger should be played at centre forward because he's taller than Spearing.

I think you're mixing him up with Hayden White. Signed at the same time last summer. White from Sheff Wed and Wilko from Milwall....

As you saw from the (very well taken) goal, Wilkinson is as one-footed as it gets. Definite potential but his right side needs working on, boy.

I wouldn't mind him bagging a goal per game with his left...Dr Hotdog wrote:As you saw from the (very well taken) goal, Wilkinson is as one-footed as it gets. Definite potential but his right side needs working on, boy.

Nero fiddles while Gordon Burns.
Re: Pre season friendlies at Macc, Preston, Tranmere and Dal
or Stewart Downing.
Re: Pre season friendlies at Macc, Preston, Tranmere and Dal
Don't. Stewart Downing definitely has stuck one in from 25 yards with his right peg.
Why are left-footed players generally so one footed? Is it coz they just get stuck wide-left automatically so they don't need to learn how not to be?
