Interesting conundrum here DSB...Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2019 2:06 pmSorry, not at the moment. Although I know James, I don't work *at* FFT any more –although I'm supposed to be seeing him soon to discuss stuff I may being doing *for* them. (I still write pieces for them - like a lot of this week's "stuff we hate about modern football". It's just words in a line.)
Not today though, I'm too busy doing that "writing" thing - and as I'm on my own clock today rather than someone else's, I'm minimising distractions. (Having a quick peep at TW with my double-pastie lunch #freelance)
If you ask, & he tells you -- then what?
If you don't ask, knowing the above -- you'll go mad wondering (I would anyhow)
What this also says to me is that if the good word on who it is, is doing the rounds, ain't no way it's gonna last until 3/4th April.
I have a funny James Brown story from mid 90's in midst of the full-on Loaded years. Should dust it down at some point.
Maybe we can swap tales

Other thing of note re some of the mudslinging going on online and in particular under JB's byline - he's also a Leeds fan IIRCJim_McDonuts wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2019 4:44 pmInteresting conundrum here DSB...Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2019 2:06 pmSorry, not at the moment. Gotta say, I've seen more names mentioned than we have in our squad, with none of them having much to back it up...Jim_McDonuts wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2019 4:44 pmWhat this also says to me is that if the good word on who it is, is doing the rounds, ain't no way it's gonna last until 3/4th April.

Let's get a few facts nailed down here
1. The buyer isn't being named because the judge has said "you can't name the buyer".
2. The judge has as much clue as to who the 'buyer' is, as you or I.
3. The only reason an extension was given was for reasonable cause, i.e. the judge judged that the defendant could possibly pay up sometime soon. He had no reason to seek assurances on that - none whatsoever.

I don't get your point.
Judges often say "x" can't be identified. Doesn't always stop it occuring. Certainly won't stop people speculating.
I really couldn't give a flying fcuk about his motives for extending.

Assuming it’s real. Which it may well not be.

I'm not sure you've factored in the possibility of a Bury supporting judge. As remote a possibility as that might be, if we got one then I suspect they'd bask in the glory of sanctioning our demise.Lost Leopard Spot wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2019 3:49 pmAs I said, blank piece paper ... JB's response to an enquiry about his earlier tweet. I vaguely knew him (friends with his sister) in the mid 80s when we both lived in Hulme. He did a great fanzine called Attack on Bzag.

No matter how rich any owner or potential owner might be I suggest reading the interview with Andy Holt in the *spit* Daily Mail:

I had not factored that possibility in. That is one very frightening thought...Abdoulaye's Twin wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2019 7:51 pmI'm not sure you've factored in the possibility of a Bury supporting judge. Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )
My point is: the buyer may not exist. Whether you give a flying fvck for his motives or not, s/he'll still require a motive of some sort the next time this comes up (and the next time, with the end of the season in sight, a blank piece of paper, even if 'written' by Hilary, will go only so far...)Worthy4England wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2019 6:17 pmI don't get your point.

That's why I didn't get it - we're making the same point in terms of whether said buyer exists and whether there was anything that actually pointed to it being "true" that they existed.Lost Leopard Spot wrote: ↑Fri Mar 22, 2019 2:43 pmMy point is: the buyer may not exist. We ARE making the same point. (with a very slight different emphasis as to where we get our 'evidence' from, which is virtually irrelevant).Worthy4England wrote: ↑Fri Mar 22, 2019 4:26 pmThat's why I didn't get it - we're making the same point in terms of whether said buyer exists and whether there was anything that actually pointed to it being "true" that they existed.Lost Leopard Spot wrote: ↑Fri Mar 22, 2019 2:43 pmMy point is: the buyer may not exist. I was merely reemphasing what I'd already said.
I think the basis of your confusion is the fact my post stating "Let's get a few things nailed down here..." wasn't directed at your post directly above it. If I had meant that, I would have quoted your previous post.
Fxcking typing eh, whatever happened to face to face discussion? Almost like we've not evolved out of the stone age....

Well look, the bottom line is the buyer that might not exist is allegedly rolling in it. Who'd have thunk it!
