If signing a CB means shipping out a CB then we've got no chance. Can only see another team wanting one of our main central defenders and the backup doesn't seem likely to be going anywhere.

So you wouldn't be prepared to swap any of them out if it meant bringing Dawson in?

Who'd take then off us on the wages they're on?

I thought Leeds wanted Mills?

Won't pay enough of his wages according to reports.

I'll be stunned if that doesn't happen in due course.

Why don't we just pay him off like we did with Danny Shittu? Surely its worth it?

I think we're leaving that plan for Tim Ream.

To be fair to Mills, he's not incapable. He seems to have lost his mojo ... & Leeds are managed by the last man to see him with it and that would offer something all round. If we can ship him out ... with a limited pay-off, or loan him and pay some of his wage that'd be for the best IF we can get one in who does suit us. We all know who the main option there would be.

It may also be that Mills has to do what Spearing is said to have done and taken a pay cut to some degree.

Meanwhile, if he's willing to do it he can just sit it out. I can't for the life of me why someone would want to do that at his age ... he must already be a very rich man. But money affects people in different ways.

Are we prepared to cash an asset then? An Eagles or a Lee? Are we desperate enough?

To do what? Buy a centre half?

Eagles must not be sold, too crucial.

Can't see who would pay money for Lee at the minute. Hardly ripping up trees in the championship. And that's being generous. Wouldn't be in the side for me.

I thought Lee had a good game yesterday. It's always going to be hard for him and Ngog to keep up their level of performance for an entire game, when they are our only creative outlets.

We were much better yesterday than we were last week, and in the first half especially we looked a seriously decent side. However, I don't think the balance is right going forward. Two defensive midfielders and Pratley on the wing plus Beckford (who contributes less outside the box than even Ivan Klasnic used to) won't work for me.

It worked first half when we got decent possession. Pratley getting in on the far post worked great for the goal.

Agreed that the problems surfaced second half when we lacked an outlet. However, Lee and Ngog struggled second half for whatever reason. It would be different with Eagles in I guess.

In certain home games I'd be tempted to play just one of Medo and Jay with Pratley alongside and 3 in front of them.

I thought it was just me that thought Lee was pretty decent in that first half. He still has a way to go if he's to recapture where he was ... and it has to be 90 minutes, not 45 but I thought his movement, willingness to offer for the ball were good and he showed quick feet as well.

It all disapperated after half time though but better than for a while.

Can't post links at the moment but Dougie has said we will move for Dawson if he becomes available.

Elsewhere we have apparently asked Sunderland about a loan for Connor Wickham.

Another striker? Doesn't sound right to me. Dougies priority should be a CB & a another winger if ones available.

Dawson was at Radcliffe Borough? How did this escape my attention before?

Sign him up now Dougie!! Sell the West Stand if you have to!

This would only be happening if a forward was on his way out I would think.

Dougie isn't stupid.. he knows what we need and has signed well so far.
