If carlsberg did transfer threads.....This would be it!

The moment it ends ...
a). Plymouth's future existence depends upon where Trotter isn't playing
b). Someone has to start the next one. Who fancies that !!??

An honest thread title, manage expectations etc and bollocks to positivity is required.

I am comforted by the idea that all our transfer targets are out on international duty and therefore not contactable! :D

Nobody born after Live Aid can be an "oldie"... :?

Best's just turned 29. Signed for Blackburn for £3m in 2012, released in summer, may be living locally (he's Nottingham-born despite the maternal Irish heritage that won him half a dozen caps). He's never been particularly prolific, but he's well-versed at this level, where he's played the majority of his career (about 180 second-tier appearances, 30ish third-tier, 30ish top-tier).

Certainly worth a trial, I'd say.

I seem to remember him being a decently rated prospect at Southampton in his early 20s - stats on wiki suggest he never really flourished, struggling to hit double digit goals at multiple clubs. Also looks like he's bounced around and never really impressed, and we've already got someone like that in Dobbie. Worth a look on trial I guess given our current state, but says a lot if we're looking at Blackburn cast offs when they're in a similar position to us. Also does anyone have an idea what was the cause of the mutual termination - Injury? Fall out? Shite performances?
that's our kinda guy! :oyea:
