Re: Jaffka's gossip thread on the ins and outs at the 'Bok
Coyle's spoke on the prospect of bringing NRC back.
This fromt' BEN
OWEN Coyle has rubbished speculation linking Nigel Reo-Coker with a Reebok return.
The 28-year-old quit Wanderers this summer, exercising a clause in his contract allowing him to leave if they were relegated from the Premier League.
But Coyle’s search for a holding midfielder in recent weeks has led to him again being linked with the former West Ham and Aston Villa man, who is still without a club.
Wanderers defender Zat Knight, who played at Villa with Reo-Coker, said he would like to see his friend return, but the manager said: “I don’t know where those stories came from at all.
“Nigel is a player I had a lot of time for, as a player and as a man when he was here at the football club.
“It was his decision at the end of the season to seek pastures new and that’s all I can say on that.”

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I wasn't there to absorb the non-verbal communication, but this doesn't strike me as "I'll never take him back". Nice words about Nige, then "it was his decision [to leave, ie not mine] [...] and that's all I can say".

What evidence do we have that that will happen?

Miyaichi played.... Even though he were shite.
That turk was shite.. and a bell-end.
Okay, on the flipside.
Andrews, straight in.
Wilshere, straight in.
Sturridger, straight in.
Miyachi, pretty much straight in.
Petrov, straight in.

There's more evidence suggesting he'll have a large part to play (unless he's really shite) than there is that he won't get any games.

Again, Tom Eaves is a kid... A shit one too apparently. Sordell is the only one i'll concede to an extent, but not many managers would've chucked a 20yo into a relegation fight with no Premier League experienceCrazyHorse wrote:...Tom Eaves, Marvin Sordell and Gregg Wylde....boltonboris wrote:Miyaichi played.... Gregg Wylde isn't as good as Petrov, Lee, or Eagles. So no argument

How do we know we haven't seen him play, from what I've read during pre season he has looked decent and then he was good enough to play for Rangers who even now our probably leagues better then us.boltonboris wrote:CrazyHorse wrote:boltonboris wrote:

He wasn't an 'every week'er' at Rangers though..
And we know, because the manager and the coaching staff watch him train every day.
And whatever you think of the manager and the staff, they wouldn't leave somebody on the bench who they believe is a better option than somebody who's starting.

Didn't he leave Muamba out for weeks and weeks at one point despite the fact every Bolton fan could see he should be playing.boltonboris wrote:He wasn't an 'every week'er' at Rangers though..

But thats assuming their judgement is to be trusted. Muamba was left on the bench continually at times last season, whilst we were being overrun in midfield for example....boltonboris wrote:He wasn't an 'every week'er' at Rangers though..

Though have to say the little I've seen of Wylde, he's very much not at the level of Petrov, Lee and Eagles!

Muamba only became 'rated' by some of our fans because he wasn't playing.. Before that everyone hammered him.

Re: Jaffka's gossip thread on the ins and outs at the 'Bok
No-one more-so than BWFCI, who at one point went around every thread hyperbolically slating Muamba like he now does with Mark Davies.
Generally though, Muamba became rated because people could see the results on the pitch when he was on it, versus those when he was inexplicably dragged off.

"We've been told that Bolton will not be making any more signings today following the capture of Jay Spearing from Liverpool. So Wanderers fans can relax for the rest of this deadline day. Owen Coyle's work here is done"

For a period. However that was when we had other players capable of closing down and tackling in midfield.Tombwfc wrote:No-one more-so than BWFCI, who at one point went around every thread hyperbolically slating Muamba like he now does with Mark Davies.

When we didn't Muamba playing was pretty much essential, even though he was technically limited, as that was what we needed at the time.
