B(E)N says ...."Forest are hopeful Trotter will join them in time to face Bristol City on Friday night but sources at the Macron insist an official decision on whether to send the 27-year-old out on loan has not yet been made."

If we decide we can't afford to let him leave then the sight of a guy with size 24 shoes plodding across the pitch in a multi-coloured suit and large plastic water-squirting flower in his lapel, and carrying a bucket of confetti will be seen walking across from the ESL toward the players area in WSL during a break in play at the next home match as he reveals the head of Plymouth from the bucket with the Clowns Symphony (actually Louis-Philippe Laurendeau's "Entrance of the Gladiators") playing in the background.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

Easy now, Coco.

Forest's next opponents, Bristol City, are one of only two teams below us in the table.

Maybe we're figuring we shouldn't significantly weaken their next opponents by letting Forest borrow Trotter.

Extra paperwork because Forest are on the financial naughty step.

Freedman: “Unfortunately, because of the embargo situation, there are one or two technical things we need to work through. In normal circumstances a 28-day loan is one of the simplest things to arrange. But we are working very hard with the admin people at the club to get it over the line. It is close, it is tight and we will work as hard as we can.”

Lennon: “Hopefully Liam going there will free up some wages for a month or so. We felt that it was right for Liam to go and right for us as he wasn't really featuring. Hopefully we can do something with that money as well.”

He does have a tendency to jump the gun. Same with injuries.
At least it looks like it'll happen at some point. Trotter is also quoted as saying he had other offers as well. A man in demand!

Sounds like the deal is done, but the paper shufflers want to shuffle more paperwork before it is officially official.

“I have a lot of respect for Dougie as a manager, and the way he likes to play football. I enjoyed working with him at Bolton.

“There were other offers on the table to go elsewhere [on loan], but for me it was about finding the right fit and a club that could get the best out of me to enable me to fulfil my potential.

Pistorius only served 11 months inside for what that would lead to.

In which case I may take one for the team.

Ah yes, who can possibly forget you doing fish kisses with him in a pub bogs whilst he span you a line about Trotter? :)
May the bridges I burn light your way
