man-management Pulis style!
Thomas Sorensen may be dropped for Stoke's game against Manchester United after Tony Pulis blamed him for Bolton's winner on Saturday.
The Denmark international custodian had passed a fitness test on a hip injury to take his place between the sticks at the Reebok Stadium.
However, as Stoke looked to be on their way to a point after Rory Delap had cancelled out Chung-Young Lee's opener for Bolton, Pulis felt Sorensen was at fault for not holding a bouncing header just before Ivan Klasnic fired in the winner for Wanderers late in the game.
He said: "Thomas should really be claiming that. It's an easy take and he's fumbled it."

So far he has done a great job at Stoke, but if they get on a bad run I can see a bunch of grumbling and problems due to his man-management.thebish wrote:man-management Pulis style!

it was just the public naming and shaming that struck me! Brownie's half-time man-management disaster came back to haunt him when results went tits-up...seanworth wrote:So far he has done a great job at Stoke, but if they get on a bad run I can see a bunch of grumbling and problems due to his man-management.thebish wrote:man-management Pulis style!

The grumblings and problems, will come from the amount of money he's spent before his man-management style is brought into question. But I agree, if the wheels come off, people will forget his previous good workseanworth wrote:So far he has done a great job at Stoke, but if they get on a bad run I can see a bunch of grumbling and problems due to his man-management.thebish wrote:man-management Pulis style!

"I've got the ball now. It's a bit worn, but I've got it"

So you wouldn't think that SCY's comments about him being slow of thinking, not PL standard, bad first touch and other negative observations could be termed complaints Bish?thebish wrote:Owen_Coyle wrote:I can't believe that I have seen posts on here complaining about Holden.
I can't believe you have either! where?
Very strange because I've just watched the goal again and Sorensen makes no attempt to go for the ball at all as its thrown in and bounces around, he stays on his line the whole time. So there is no that he could have taken the ball never mind fumble it, he had no chance with saving the shot.thebish wrote:man-management Pulis style!

Now if Pulis believes that Sorenson should have come out to claim the ball as it was thrown in then that is a different thing but he would have to have mowed down a few of his own defenders to get anywhere near the ball.
But then if he was refering to the earlier incident when he perhaps should have held the ball that he pushed out just before we scored but redeemed himself by making a fantastic save as Davies tried to put the ball in from 2 yards out, then that is a totally different matter.

Depression is just a state of mind, supporting Bolton is also a state of mind hence supporting Bolton must be depressing QED

That is what he's saying, that we should never have had the throw in because Sorensen should have saved the header without fumbling it in the first place.FaninOz wrote:Very strange because I've just watched the goal again and Sorensen makes no attempt to go for the ball at all as its thrown in and bounces around, he stays on his line the whole time. He's got a point but a bit harsh publically blasting him for it.

that's one... you'd have to come up with more than that to justify the idea that you were speaking out against some kind of a trend or tide, such that you couldn't "believe it"....
