Just a thought:
If we won the next 10 games and were 3points off top would people still want Coyle in charge? I suppose the point is has it got so far now that Coyle has lost the fans so regardless of what happens we wouldn't want him.
I like Coyle and I would have loved for him to succeed here, but I do feel it's time to go but I don't have a clue who would come and manger a club with no money, poor fan base and no transfer window to change players.

We do, Newcastle in the championship sold out most home matches. How many people turned out to watch us in the championship so far. Was is 15,000 vs Derby and Forest.plymouth wanderer wrote:m_taylor wrote:Just a thought:

OK, I will stay off this site till later on tomorrow as it will look like I have a vendetta against the guy and there's nothing I can add that's not been said. I actually think I just 'got there' a bit earlier than many.
I doubt there are all that number now able or willing to give him much more time, if any at all.
In fact, it'd be cruel to keep him on I think. No match next weekend, so lots of chance to do something in the gap.
So, I'll chill down, drink too much good wine & try to avoid football altogether.
At least Dr. Who is back on tonight.
Somebody text or pm me if there's a development (there can only be one, really).

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Hey
I get your other reasons but i fail to see why say Mick Mcarthy (for example) or Di Canio would't come because we have a "poor" fan base
And i think 15,000 in the championship is probably above average (i think) and to honest i could't give a fvck

I've just hit rock bottom now. As I've said I have no ill feeling to Coyle the man. He's just not very good for this club.
Pfffft.
Re: owen out 2012/2013
If take Eddie howe, for the simple reason that it would really be appreciated buy our local neighbours. It would be carnage.
Can I call for some order, I think that 2/3 more games in charge then if no improvement Coyle shud go. I think the players came into the league thinking they had won it already, and losing a few may give them a wake up call they required. Granted coyle shud not allow the complacency but you try telling 22 bloke who think they know better what to think. I know he gets paid well te do it.
I do not want McCarthy he's a tool. IMO

We went to Crawley and lost in midweek.. if that couldn't give everybody a kick up the arse then nothing will. He has had enough time.n035209 wrote:If take Eddie howe, for the simple reason that it would really be appreciated buy our local neighbours. It would be carnage.

Forget 2/3 more games.

If the chairman loves you, you can survive.
1963/4 bolton relegated (first time since 1935)
64/5 finished 3rd (only 2 promoted)
65/6 finished 9th
66/7finished 9th
67/8 finished 12th
Bolton finally said goodbye to Bill Ridding having given him 4 chances to get promoted.
So, Owen Coyle could be around for a while yet.

Felt like that was it today. Crowd full on turned. So pathetic it was untrue. Individual mistakes, no movement off the ball, nobody taking responsibility. Looked done.

4 games guys... grow up. In my eyes it's only acceptable to start saying things like this if you can suggest a likely replacement. The only half decent suggestion I've seen on this forum is Billy Davies. I really like him but to be calling for Owen's head so soon is embarrassing.
The way I see it is that under 18 months ago, we were in the top 10 of the premier league and getting to the semi finals of the FA Cup. We had horrendous luck in terms of what happened to Holden, Chungy and Muamba amongst other things, and due to our financial position (which is out of Owen's hands) we are not able to bring in quality replacements. We subsequently went down after admittedly very average play, but also suffering poor refereeing decisions throughout the year - none more so than the two ridiculous decisions at Stoke on the final day. So we went down. And Bolton fans need to adjust.
But it will not happen if fans continue to have such a poor attitude in their so-called "support" of the club. I hate the fact that whenever I go to the Reebok there's always loads of muppets booing and moaning. As though their negativity is going to have a positive effect on what happens on the pitch.

This is a very tough league and we shouldn't assume that just because we have been in the Premier League for so long that we have a divine right to go back up. We will lose games at places like Hull and Peterborough. All I want to see is some improvement at the back and for the players to have a real go if we are struggling. I have faith that we'll turn it around and reach at least the Play-Offs and that Coyle can take us there.n035209 wrote:If take Eddie howe, for the simple reason that it would really be appreciated buy our local neighbours. Re: owen out 2012/2013
I tend to agree to some extent on this point but if the manngment/board think everything is rosey, then nothing wil change, we assume that they can see what the fans see and there is something going on to rectify the issues, but week in week out Coyle spouts the soame old Shite after a defeat and picks the same squad/formation. Also, I dont see the problem with paying for a season ticket and having a good old moan now and again !!LufbraCraig wrote:4 games guys... grow up.
