Hi Adam. Welcome to the site.brfc_adam wrote:hello rovers fan here in peace, prepare for bad spelling and grammer im dylesxic lol
what a game that was eh?
first half we were better after beckfords miss and could of gone 3-4 up before you pulled one back. then second half you tore us apart and our defence couldent handle you then we get a lucky third and never looked back it was all us from there and could of had more. a brilliant game of football
I really feel that Dougie Freedman should be your next manager; he could really do a job for you.
Businesswoman of the year.

That were a right laugh wasn't it?
Only caught the first half and a bit then stream died. But yeah that weren't great.
Maybe the managers to blame.
Maybe the players. Maybe terrible injuries
Or maybe it is time to accept we are just a poor, unattractive football team nowadays.

No. Sometimes its hard to get the right sentiments when your posting from your phone after a game but read the last part of my post.Annoyed Grunt wrote:Dougie's blameless?wanderers_on_tour wrote:Dougie shouldn't be too blame. He puts out a respectable side each week and seems to be a forward thinker behind the scenes.
However the longer he picks and supports this dross at the back the worse his position is going to get.
I just don't think he should be fired, nor would I want him to. I've seen us play a lot worse and win games like today, of at least come away with a draw, today was about the individual mistakes of individual players and not a collective group. Players who are in desperate need of replacement. That's Dougies responsibility now.

Bring back KD.

Re: Away to Blurrrghburn
Baptiste is being played horrifically out of position. We need left back cover and a new central defender before windows end (premier or loan).

I'm getting a nosebleed with the speed our "goals for" column is ticking over at the moment, with all these fast pacy strikers.

It shouldn't be that hard to make a defence of Mears, Knight, Wheater and Baptiste into a respectable unit. They'll never be great but they are so shambolic because the tactics are awful.

Hang on. You said every manager in the division would love to have our defenders. Why would they if they'll never be great?SmokinFrazier wrote:It shouldn't be that hard to make a defence of Mears, Knight, Wheater and Baptiste into a respectable unit. Re: Away to Blurrrghburn
Frazier's half right that those players should make a defence. They did last season, with one addition.
I can't help think it comes down to the KnightWheat partnership, from which everything bad springs; we could have Cafu and Maldini in their pomp either side and we'd still concede at least a goal a game. In fact, it's going up in every game they play together, unless we play three defensive midfielders in front of them, which surely gives you a clue.
I'll say it again: Matt Mills must be really, really f*cking shit to not get a game past those two.

Re: Away to Blurrrghburn
I coulda sworn one of the Palace fans said they were awful at the back (which I seem to recall they were), before they signed an ex-player as defensive coach? Can't remember his name, but I think he chose to stay put in the South....SmokinFrazier wrote:It shouldn't be that hard to make a defence of Mears, Knight, Wheater and Baptiste into a respectable unit. Re: Away to Blurrrghburn
Just got in left just after the 4th goal. We were abysmal from front to back Boggers aside. The centre back pairing is one of the worst I've seen Knight is a lazy clueless sack of sh1t, Wheater looks as if he's in pain and unfit. The midfield pairing of Spearing and Medo have the ability to boss the midfield but didn't. Prattley Beckford and N'Gog does not work headless chickens is the term that springs to mind The Brazilian who's name escapes me at the moment is a luxury we can't afford at the moment. Apart from Boggers Chungy is the only one who had a half decent game.
People calling for Dougie to go if he does we're still left with Knight who will still continue to draw his salary the man should be sacked his job is to defend it's clear to all he's failing in his duty if he was a security guard he'd have been sacked for the number of daylight robbery's that have taken place on his watch. Having said that the team as a whole did not defend Blackburn to their credit did defend as a team.
Everyone knows where the main problem lies the centre back pairing it's been like that long before Dougie came in that should have been the first area to be addressed . Instead we brought in more midfielders and if the rumour is true we're linked with another one. We also brought another striker in Beckford It can't be that there are no half decent centre backs out there (half decent would be an improvement on what we've got) Uncle Edddie is going to have to dig into his piggy bank or risk having the best stadium in the lower tiers. Until the centre back problem is addressed and Knights arse booted out the door no more of my hard earned is going on this lot.
