@OfficialBWFC: FULL TIME: @SUFCOfficial 1-1 #BWFC. Paddy Madden's penalty cancels out @velajosh25's opener for Wanderers. Report and reaction to follow.

Eh?
There's a match report here, owd chap. Print it out if you like :D

In short:

* Mavies and Clough still out; Pratley missing with a knock (Lennon says we'll have a fully fit squad by the Derby kick-off, a fortnight today)
* Youngster Alex Finney (19, "powerfully-built") did well at centre-back
* Vela scored his first goal
* Right-back trialist Lawrie Wilson "has a little more to prove" after a "thorough defensive examination"
* Good reviews for Moxey and Feeney
* The only men to play the full 90 were Wilson, Spearing (captain), Vela and Hall

So at the moment we have Wheater, Pratley, Clough, Clayton and Mavies nursing knocks or still to return. Half a potential first team almost.

mmmmmm

Add Ream. Still bench warming in the US, plus a stated need for a second keeper and a full back.

Playing a soon to depart Hall for the full 90 minutes (little gain to our preparation and a risk of an injury which could stop any move) remains odd.

I think we're still some way from ready.

Ream is on his way back now.

Don't get too excited. They usually need a rest after such exploits and will then need more training to get fit again.

Even with those players back, IMO we are still at least 2 or 3 good players short (which without any money we won't get) - so to me it looks like a bottom 6 side never mind mid table, I really hope I'm wrong, and we get of to a good start to get some confidence - but our current squad gives me absolutely no indication or confidence of being anywhere near being a top half side

And being totally honest IMO we currently look an even weaker side than last season to me, and NL has yet to improve any of the weak areas in the side from last season, not a one ! - he's being asked to manage with his hands tied behind back - the club is in an absolute mess with absolute silence coming from our once very 'media happy' chairman.

I think we are a bottom 6 side. It's a strong division this year, and supposedly embargoed clubs can afford what we can't it seems. It's just a case of staying up, developing young players and continuing to look for investment to make up for years of mismanagement. I'm expecting nothing for the first time in years, so will view any points we get as good points. except Rotherham at home!

As for PG, when you look at how money has been pissed away on stupid contracts in the last 5 or so years, it takes a brass neck to even stay in his job, never mind appear in public.
Presumably he has a safety deposit box somewhere containing pics of Eddie in a gimp suit with a tangerine in his mouth.

Is this now the forum consensus - success next season is survival in the league - even with Lenny in charge?

what would represent Lenny doing badly?
