Does this face look bothered? I know not having strikers is the future, coz Spain did it in a game once, I just don't think our current squad is quite ready to make that shift yet.thebish wrote:Worthy4England wrote:Bijou Bob wrote:If king turns up here, i'll never attend a match again. End of.
Hmmmm. Striker scoring every other game or Bijou Bob.? Lemmie think about that a min after the start we've had.![]()
(I would't really want him either)
yeah - but can he hold the ball up?

Garvan was high up that list of possible Palace contract-expirees I posted way back at the beginning of summer, when all was positive. It would be a bit odd if Palace, having given him a new contract about four weeks ago, now wanted shut - presumably for a fee we could do without paying.
Mind you, this is Holloway, who wants to pair Chamakh with Bendtner.

+1thebish wrote:yes - we have had a good number of years in the premiership - and yes those years were a great ride - and yes - we should dream of reaching the top..
BUT - reality check - in the current footballing financial landscape - we are not a natural premiership team who should expect to be there more than not.
call me defeatist, small-minded, unambitious - whatever you like - but I am not going to scream and wet my pants if we have an extended spell in the championship/league 1. At the root of it - I REALLY don't care that much what level we are competing at - as long as we are competing...
what depresses me this season is that it just doesn't look like we are competing - and I still think we are capable of competing at this level with what we have...

Yeah, but have you consulted Nostradamus Nixon? otherwise, I don't believe a word.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Did it contain the phrase "probably will/won't* happen"?
*Delete as applicable. Obviously I will be right.

We can't not sign anyone. This squad is nowhere near good enough.

Good, because he said we were in for Rhodes. I can only assume that we'll be taking a pen to today's game.Lord Kangana wrote:Yeah, but have you consulted Nostradamus Nixon? otherwise, I don't believe a word.

It's not money, nor ambition, but pens.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

interestingly - it seems dougie doesn't actually want to move any of our players out - contrary to accepted opinion...
