A really nice gesture from Coyle to substitute him with just a minute to go so he got the standing ovation he deserved. Well done lad.

Brilliant performance that could've easily been 8-0. What a game!

Can't fault the team today... Brilliant from Chris Eagles... Mo and NRC were excellent in the middle together... and NRC himself was the heart of the squad today... Wheats and Cahill have formed a fantastic partnership... Klas was class... Kevo worked hard and made there "solid" defence look like piss and Joe Riley... I would like to see him playing alot more this season he seems like a player who could really make it into the squad, best debut I've seen in a long time from a Bolton player! COME ON YOU WHITES!

Absolutely fantastic today. Riley looks really promising and Coyle got the tactics spot on. We defended, attacked and fought as a whole unit.

So, so happy today

Klasnic my man of the match. Scored 2, set 2 up and had a hand in the second goal (Eagles) by putting the keeper under pressure to make the mistake.

Not only that but he was second in the Bolton list of miles covered in the first half (Eagles first and M Davies third).

No Petrov I see.
Not much hope of any goals from this one then, what does KD have on Coyle to keep getting picked!! Another hour or so of confused looks, and Nolan'esk complaints to the ref and linesmen!!

Clueless selections up front.

If you'll please post this shite each week.

At last an excellent alround performance built on a lucky first goal after which we never really looked back. And a 5-0 win that helps to write of the Wembley memories. Lets hope that we can build on that, but its a pity that we have to wait two weeks to do it.

Marvelous performance from Riley who hardly put a foot wrong, just one mistimed missed header which Wheater cleared up for him. Even Robinson did well and Reo Coker wa al over the pitch and why has it taken so long for Muamba to get back in the team.

Even Davies had a good game at last and Klasnic was more clinical at last.

But best of all was Eagles and that clean sheet, a very happy goodnight to one and all we can sleep well at last.

Even Robbo got an assist! Great performance though Klasnic, Eagles and Riley were especially awesom , and that helps our goal difference no end, onwards and upwards!

Happy to be wrong but you have to admit it was bar far Davies' best performance of the season, well the whole team for that matter.

I can't quite believe it. That was a fecking outstanding performance. Everyone was superb (even Robbo got better towards the end).

Jussi: Not much to do.

RILEY: Superb. Just brilliant.
Wheater: So impressed with this guy.
Cahill: Class as usual.
Robbo: Shocking at moments but some won some decent headers and a smart pass for Eagles' second. Hopefully he can get some confidence back.

Reo-Coker: Excellent. Was everywhere. Some superb runs and kept it simple.
Muamba: Love this guy. Played his heart out. Gave us some much-needed grit in the middle. Was harrying everyone and made some surging runs and could have had a goal or two with a bit more composure (but then he wouldn't be the Moo).
Eagles: A cut above. If he could do that week in week out he'd be keeping Chungy out the team.
M. Davies: Worked hard and some decent runs that won us free kicks in good positions (when was the last time we scored direct from a free kick, btw?)

K. Davies: Didn't get much out of Webb but was chasing everyone and won the ball for Eagles' second. Looked more like the SKD of old.
Klasnic: Did what Klasnic does: scores! (And some superb touches).

feck me I'm happy. And a clean sheet to boot!

Great performance. I was happy Riley was selected for the game, but not that excited when I saw the rest of the team selection before the game. Shows what I know.

Incredible, gobsmacking turnaround in form. Stoke were poor but we just played really, really well. I'm hoping that it wasn't a case of half our players saving their one big performance of the year for the same game. But if nothing else, it should give them more confidence that they can go out, attack teams and impose themselves on matches. Why has Muamba not been starting?!

Brilliant start to the week. Plaudits to the whole team for turning it on. Pressure was evident when they had it, and so was our confidence when we had it. COYW!

What Coyle did right today:
- Played Muamba, who did what Muamba does. He could have scored two as well, but that isn't what he's there for.
- Put Eagles on the left, who covered Robinson brilliantly.

At the end of the day the work ethic was superb and the defence didn't give Jussi a change to mess up.

So happy with this result, lets hope we can carry this form to next week.

I was one calling for Coyle to go so perhaps I got it wrong. I didn't see the game, just listened to the commentary on 5live extra, and I have to say the commentators were very complimentary about the team performance and reckoned Muamba should have been MOtM with young Riley coming in for a lot of praise too. But it sounds as if it was a great all round team victory.

If it's not a flash-in-the-pan then I'm puzzled as to why we haven't done it before. Does anyone else think it has been an elaborate plan to dupe the pundits and bookies so Eddie Davies can lump several £m on a Bolton win at decent odds in order to clear the debt?
